They might have looked scruffy (and the 917 was very scruffy indeed!) but the Porsches beat the Ferraris at almost every event they competed in.
IIRC the only 512 victory was posted in the hands of a 'privateer entrant', a certain Roger Penske at the Daytona 24 hour.

Indeed, functional doesn't have to look good! I remember the Can-Am version of the 917 (917-30??) going past me at Mosport, and feeling heart flutter from that monster! Turbo 917 = Yikes!

Manuele, do you really need to go on holiday :icon_lol: :running:? The Folgore looks absolutely breathtaking!:jump:

Awesome indeed! Excellent work and thanks to Pietro for a great starting point. Manuele, you work is always impressive. Thank you. :applause: :medals:

I am lucky enough to have the MC.202 for testing and sound pack work...and all I can say is that that screen shots do NOT do this plane justice. It is simply amazing! Even with a borrowed FDE set, the plane is a joy to fly...of course I have been so distracted looking at the wonderful modeling on the exterior that I haven't paid attention to my flying...every flight has ended in a crash...but that's pretty normal for me...I just smashed the Alphasim F-105D into the back end of a Boeing 747 at 28,000 feet...why is it my plane fell from the sky like a rock, but the 747 kept on keptin' on?

Its good to see you have returned..... and not a minute too early :icon_lol:

And what we are thinking, but what nobody dares to say; Good luck with your VC! (and now back to work!!) :icon_lol::icon_lol:

Cheers,
Huub

Wow... That VC is even more impressive than the previous ones you made.
The work on the textures is toally awsome, it gives a great sense of volumes and materials, providing a "consistency" to the materials. Very good job. :ernae:
