MiG-21F13 released

Thank You Frank for painting a Cuban Scheme. Never can have enough Cuban FAR's. Time to wake up the USN at Gitmo.

Info for the FSX Mig Guys

There is a Mig-21Bis Fishbed N is in preparation at "MigSim" and it is called
"Projekty 2".

http://www.migsim.ic.cz/info.htm

The last Mig-21 version used by the Czech Republic and largely used
all over the planet.

I used an online Czech dictionary to read some lines of the web site.

A Freeweare Mig-21 Bis for FS9 and FSX with the same options we find
on the Mig-21F-13 with a superb VC and including all the ground equipment to click on the ground ?

Am I dreaming ?
No.
Are we dreaming ?
No.

Here is one of the Projekty 2 shots

G, I checked with Joe on the afterburner for the 21. You are right, it will show the flame on a darker cloudy day or at night.

All the Sundays he flies his 21 and L-39 there's usually no weather..... doesn't fly at night or in rain or snow. Always VFR conditions or he cancels out. Which has happened only a couple of times, since I've been a ground crew member, due to weather of maintainence.

He's one of those "fair weather" pilots...:engel016::kilroy: LOL

Thanks for finding out.

Cheers, :ernae:

At Simviation there is an update out for the MiG-21F-13 on this page: http://www.simviation.com/simviation/?ID=64&page=1000. The author claims that the flight model is more realistic than the original. I have not flown the original but perhaps some of you want to give the update a try. I spotted one problem: after starting the engine (with ctl e), when throttling up a fire develops in the engine. I do not know the reason or what to do about it. The sped of throttle movement makes no difference.

I noticed that too. It's more of an explosion :pop4:

I removed it and kept the original. That works fine for me.

so im a little late to the party but i finally figured this gem out and i must say i really like it, my only question is does anyone think the fuel consumption is a little ridiculous?

Please reupload Finnish repaint!
Yes it would be great! In fact, right now it seems that most(if not all) of these amazing repaints can't be download...:blind:

Request for Zsoltquack

Hi Zsoltquack,

You make magnificent repaints:applause:

But could you do me (and perhaps a few more here at SOH) a little favor;

Reduce the image size of your uploaded images in the forum.....

They take an age to load, if loading completely at all.

I have broadband connection, but still............

It would be much appreciated if you reduce the image size to something around no bigger then 1mb or so (perhaps a bit smaller).

Cheers :icon29:

Seen this topic today i decided to go for a flight with it. May i say:
Man ... this aircraft is insane! I can´t turn with it!!!!!!
I think i can do more Sharp turns with an Antonov 225 than this. It´s almost impossible without trim.

Autostart issues (CTRL+E)

If you prefer to use autostart function you simply have to deactivate the corresponding gauge in the panel.cfg

[Vcockpit01]
.....
//gauge32=MiG21F13!Automat motoru, 0 , 0 , 10 , 10

I tried your suggestion above, When you press CTRL-E sure enough
the engine starts and I see the AB flame but you know what?
When I ease the throttle to full TO power the Mig just sits there
as though the brakes were on, and yes, before you ask; I had the brakes off... Another issue is that this thing climbs like a lead balloon. Sure the
AB flames are a bit of eye candy but it has a tendency to glide back
to mother earth like a brick. :gameon:

I felt that too! It´s almost impossible to stay in the air with it (At least for me). Imagine a dogfight between a f16 and this plane. I won´t bet in the russian one.
