Mike Stone's B-25 - Released!

This is really an excellent model, and great on frame rates too. It's good to have Mike back in the FS Community. I have quite a few of his older planes, that Garry painted too, including a C-133 Cargomaster that is awesome.
:medals:

By the way... that nose mounted .50 cal really wasn't intended to be used for shooting down bad guys and straifing trains. I use mine to take pot-shots at giant porcupines that rear up, bear their fangs and wiggle their claws at you, as you are blasting down the runway on your take-off run.

Thanks all. It took a while, but I finally got permissions to get in here.

Appreciate all the comments. And no sweat there hurricane. Garry was just looking out for me, knowing what drove me into retirement some years ago. But before taking up the hobby again, I went out and acquired a teflon raincoat. Nothing sticks to it. In any case, I don't see your comment as bashing, hurricane.

Hey Mike, glad to see you made it... i think i speak for all of us in this thread when i say "Thank you for your generosity, and perseverence in making this Hobby more fulfilling with all these wonderful aircraft!"

First Beers on me in the mess :ernae:

What he said. Second round is on me. :guinness:

Mike ,thankyou

Mike it seems that your one of a few who understood what I was trying to say, and I thankyou for your kind words.I wouldn't dream of running you down for the world, I could never do what you do,and have a lot of your planes in my hanger.
You just proved that most flight simmers are the best people I know.
I admit I was hurt and angery about some of the comments but, your kind words helped a lot. Keep on keeping on, am looking forword to your next projects.

Or get rid of competing freight carriers? :kilroy:

I'll second that anytime!

Great to see Mike's back with us. And Gary Smith putting in his touch of genious too!

Tom, I'm a bit slow but now understand your fancy footwork re: R2600 in the Tracker/Trader thread...:salute:

Following an earfull of work on my plate, not least the Grumman Tracker/Tracer/Trader and a few promises made to certain SOH Gentlemen, this new B-25 will definately get the clickety-clack, dounga-dounga treatment!

Repaints; two I'd dearly love to see: 'Psychadellic Monster' and the fictitious but awesome black ship flown by Whip!

Great news Mike that you are back - you have provided all of us with so many and, moreover, some of the most enduring FS models ever made. Hope to see you here often.

Great to see you back in the aircraft business Mike!:applause:

p.s. I still have that Walrus!

do you ever stop reading my darned mind Buddy? :icon_lol: was just starting that one very late last night :icon_lol: before i went to bed at 0700(ish) gotta get some more done on it... will have to make the inner tails blend as thats a mirrored texture, but that doesn't matter to me, always have loved Mikes aircraft....

Mikes planes got me started repainting. always enjoy them

welcome to THAT particular club, i think my first repaint was on Mikes A320... it was where i cut my teeth.... slowly i'm building up PSD's for all of Mikes Aircraft... got probably 45% of them done already :icon_lol:

Now worries Nigel, I have an R2800 package that I can use in the meantime. As long as it sounds like a decently powerful radial, I'm happy!

Welcome home, Mike:applause: I have every one of your creations in my hanger. They represent a significant spot in my simming development -- starting way back in fs2002.

They are simple, clean and fun to fly. They also lend themselves to my tweaking obsessions such as specular shine, lighting, panels, sounds. etc.

So in spite of all the bells and whistles available in fs2004. I still fine time to flit about the skies in your birds.

Thanks again for all you have done and hopefully will continue to do.

I know that buddy, put it down to the Greek thought proccess. :icon_lol: LOL!

The 'monster' or Whip Russel's black gunship? :wiggle:

wait and see.... currently doing some IRIS related work, while pining for Greece :icon_lol: who said us guys can't multitask? i can even drink a beer while placing rivets on a repaint :icon_lol:

it's a long day, hopefully by end of next week i should have all this IRIS work behind me....

Finally installed Mike's B-25J and did some early-morning circuits out of McConnell in Wichita. Very nice bird. Can anyone tell me how to retract the landing lights?

The Landing lights retract in sync with the gear up/down switch. If you are using the Shockwave setup the lights go out when you retract the gear followed by the light fixture retraction.
