• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

Microsoft, prove me wrong!

Microsoft evaluated its business model and saw tons of money being paid to 3rd party developers. Whatever FS becomes, it will be money for Microsoft in every way. Might be good for us in some ways but I am betting it won't be anything like FSX/FS9 and our favorite developers will have to sell their products to Microsoft for distribution. RoF Microsoft style!!

I can easily imagine MS implementing an add-on "app" store similar to Apple for the i-Phone, i-Pad, etc... MS gets a bit of the pie every time an add-on sells. Surprised they didn't do something like it earlier.

the fractions of video and images look great, but the "We believe the simplicity of “Microsoft Flight” perfectly captures that vision while welcoming the millions' kinda sounds ominus.... "simplicity." I hope it is not a simple point and shoot video game with great graphics.

the only thing we know for sure so far is that Microsoft is making a new software program and they have a working title for it called.... 'Flight'

I love the "wait and see" mentality that includes rampant speculation
 
While I can appreciate that some are looking forward to this, frankly at this time I have absolutely no interest in it whatsoever. I'm just not going through yet another iteration of getting it to run, learning the SDK (if it even materializes), etc.

I thought we gave the new version it's own section for stuff like this...:ques:

is there a link somewhere to this forums old FS9 pages back when FSX was first introduced - I'll bet you would see some of the same rants word for word


not directed at anyone specifically - just saying some stuff is just not discourse, its something - but it ain't discourse

NOT TOO HARD TO FIGURE OUT!!! JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PROMISES OF WHAT FSX WAS SUPPOSED TO DO. THEY ASKED FOR OUR INPUT AND IGNORED IT. LOOK AT HOW IT WAS PRESENTED TO THE PUBLIC WITH EDITED SCREEN SHOTS AND CLIPS. LOOK AT THE BUG INFESTED FRAME RATE HOG WE WHERE GIVEN.
