  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION - ALL MEMBERS PLEASE READ

    Due to an increase in the number of new members who are trying to systematically download our entire Resource Library (one new member yesterday tried to download 3,000+ files AT ONCE!) we are being forced to implement some changes regarding who can download what, how many files at a time and at what speed. As the forums and Resource Library share the same bandwidth when the Library gets overloaded with demand like that the forums fall over, as we have all seen recently. It's sad that greed has forced our hand in this way but we must do something for the benefit of all our legitimate members (many of whom paid money for the upkeep of the site) and to prevent the files stored here being used for nefarious purposes. Many of our uploads have specific conditions tied to them that forbid uploading to any other site or deny uploading to any site that has a 'paywall' (i.e. a pay to download policy). Due to the number of mass download attempts recently we can only assume that somebody, somewhere, is attempting to stock up a new file library with our files and we owe it to our up-loaders to protect their files and intellectual property especially as many (like my own LDR Development projects) are made available at SOH only and are specified as such in the 'read me' files.

    The forums and Resource Library will be taken offline as of 13:00 EDT with the forums coming back online shortly after without the resources library while we work on setting up permissions on the new Library module.

    We hope our members understand why we need to do this and will bear with us while we implement the changes.

My Ongoing Saga with Moza

If it was me, it would be time for a full refund, return shipping at their expense, and a different brand of flight controller.
 
Tom, I have considered just that. There is only one other company that makes a force-feedback yoke that isn't a commercial product costing thousands of dollars. It's Flightsim. Their force-feedback yoke is a much older design with fewer features and it costs around $1400, $500 more than the Moza.

The build quality of the Moza AY-210 is impressive (see attached photo). It's the circuit board QC that seems to suck. I have written to them asking for freight to be covered both ways. I have been polite and laid out the reasons they should offer to pick up the freight coming and going. You should mention to them, if you haven't already, that it's not just your future purchases in jeopardy. I was considering making the move to force-feedback at some point, and I've been following this thread with interest. How they treat you will definitely inform my decision on if/what I buy. I'm probably not the only one here, either.
 
Email them a link to this thread. You haven't posted anything libelous or slanderous - just facts. In fact, you've been pretty complementary so far. Just remind them that there are quite a few eyes watching what happens here and they have a huge opportunity to garner some good will in the community.
 
I will await their response first, which won't be until Monday, at the earliest. I want to give them a chance to do the right thing. Then, if need be, I will point out this thread and how the potential loss of business and image can easily be greater than the return shipping. I think this is especially true when they must have agreements with UPS and Fed-ED that I can not possibly match.

    Also: Can a moderator or admin change the "Sage" to "Saga" in the thread title. I just noticed that I accidentally misspelled Saga with Sage, and since both are words the spell checker, which I heavily rely upon, didn't flag it.

They should be shipping a replacement instead of making you wait for them to repair yours. Even if they wait for yours to arrive before shipping the replacement, it's still quicker and they can take their time figuring out what failed on the first one.
 
You should be able to edit the post yourself too John, just so you know in case it happens again. ;)
 
An update on the Moza AY210. As promised, Moza handled the return shipping. They sent me a prepaid UPS label. The unit arrived at heir facility in Plano, TX yesterday. Now, I wait to see how long it takes for them to fix it and return it.
 
I'd still tell them to send me a good replacement, they can keep the defective unit, repair it and resell as a rebuilt at reduced cost.

I sure hope this is a translation issue. My records from UPS show the unit arriving at your facility on Friday of last week (May 29th 2026).

Why don’t you just send me a new unit, fix this one, and sell it as an open box special. I am tired of waiting. You have my money, now deliver the goods!

The repaired AY210 unit came in today and it works. I am very impressed with the feel and sense of flying a real airplane it provides. I am still working with the software to both learn its tuning and idiosyncrasies. However early testing with the Caranado Cessna 210 were what I thought it might feel like. I am basing this on about an hour's worth of C-206 time, so I may be fooling myself. But, if I like it, what does it matter if it is accurate or not.
 
I have a few Moza products - a couple of car related steering wheels, a base unit, pedals, 2 gear shifters & a handbrake. Touch wood I've not had any issues (not to say they couldn't occur!).

The main takeaway is to try & buy the equipment from a store based in your particular country/region. That way if there are any issues the store has to sort out any warranty issues. (I know it's a wee bit late for you jmig!). ;)

Unfortunately, these issues can also occur with other manufacturers products. I had a faulty Virpil gear-lever control panel that arrived with an issue & had to be returned under warranty back to Lithuania. Virpil were great but the courier less so, with a similar situation getting it sent back for a replacement. (I do own 4 Virpil products).

In the end, despite that, it wouldn't dissuade me from purchasing again from Virpil (or Moza) in the future, as long as I can get that product locally, if possible.
