OK Guys,
Here's the thing, when we do these models there are so very many things to look at it, is really easy to overlook a "recessed window". You all should know, I have a ton of reference material to look at so we were not at a disadvantage regarding photos specs and the like. Honestly, I looked at it this plane a thousand times and never saw it as an issue. I have even stood mere feet away of the most celebrated or notorious B-29 in history (Enola Gay) and still it never occured to me that there was an issue with the window. As I promised, I have already brought it up to the Boss and will continue to advocate for a window remake.
But the point of what I really want to say is that we put these planes out because we love them and we hope that you will love them too. Yes, we try to make a few bucks to keep the lights on and buy more manuals, but I would be willing to bet that every developer and painter here feels exactly the same way. They do what they do because they love these damn planes. When I see people bickering and arguing over these little inaccuracies, any joy or happiness over a cool new plane is diverted away from the pleasure that might be derived from playing with a new toy. That makes me sad. I am in no way saying people don't have a right to point out various issues or inaccuracies. All I am saying is try not to get get so wrapped up in your point of view that it overshaddows and consumes the entire new release event. If there is a problem, point it out and say it once, we'll take note, and then let's move on.
Now talking about moving on, Manfred, I watched video of your new DC-3 start-up and was thrilled and amazed to see what you have done. I would very much like to talk with you about how you accomplished such a feat. Pehaps we could have a chat though private or email. I'd love to hear how you accomplished the "slow start". And BTW, the DC-3 looks beautiful!
