NEW! FS2004 Pander S.4 Panderjager

The flightmodel is borrowed from the A-26. I would highly appreciate it when somebody with the required talents would want to do an attempt to design a dedicated flightmodel......

Cheers,
Huub

Well as many of you know I have never written flight dynamics before so that probably puts me outside of the definition of "required talents" :icon_lol: but I did it anyway.

I spent a lot of time researching the aircraft collecting known data I could use. After collecting the known data I of course had a considerable number of holes. Those I tried to fill with logic and what is known about other aircraft from that time period or used the same engines.

I sent the final FM out to a group of individuals from the Around the World Race forum as we have an interest in flying this aircraft in the 2009 MacRobertson Air Race. The general consensus was the FM is Plausible.

I uploaded the files just a short while ago they will be available when the moderator has cleared them.

If you plan on using this FM it will be important that you read the read me file (yes I know who does that :icon_lol:). One of the things I added was a payload section. I tried to realistically place the payload which affects the center of gravity in a way I believe had to be realistic based on pictures I have seen.

Included in the package is a checklist.htm and ref.htm files. They reflect the flight performance of this FM.

The read me has full details.

As an extra I ran the flight dynamics through Air Wrench set to FSX Acceleration. I have tested the flight dynamics in FSX and the Plane flies good.

It does however suffer from the normal FS9 port over problems. The texture is not real bad on the props but needs work.

Some gauges do not work and some are just not there at all as they are transparent.

The FSX files are in an FSX folder in the zip.
