Oz And Beyond!

We headed on down the east coast of Scotland to RAF Leuchars. O' course I had to fly back over Scapa Flow again on the way. Also we did a quick search for Nessie on Loch Ness near Inverness but no sign of her. Then MM had to do a touch n go at the 1st fairway at Dundee.

We left the Edinburgh area and headed west into my old stomping grounds around Holy Loch. Brought back a lot of good memories. After that we headed to the north and on to Stornoway. It looks like we're about to start island hopping again....

Glad to see somebody else had two bridges. . .I was thinking it might have been a mistake. A lot of these. . .I have no idea what I was looking at, lol. . . .you guys probably do tho:

Didn't get any pictures, but we left Stornoway and flew on to the Faroe Islands to begin our trip across the pond.

There's going to be some visits to the local swap n shop while we find something a bit faster for the crossing.

Found a deal on a Spitfire XIX to take me on across the pond.

We headed on to Reykjavik Iceland. I took the Spitfire up high to get a feel for what she'll do. She'll do plenty.

We flew on to Kulusuk Greenland. Nice flight and I got a chance to use the photo recon camera soon after take off.

Borrowed one of Focke Wulf's prototypes to get across Greenland in. Got a long leg to Canada next and I'm thinking about trying something...

:cowboy:Howdy yall,

Here are a few photos of the flight across Greenland, you know haven't seen anything green yet, just white!

It's a bit cold up here so I swapped the Focke Wulf for a double barreled Messerschmitt shop heater. It's kind of short ranged, but if I keep the speed down to where the prop guys can keep up it'll do a little distance.

(Just my luck, Black Tickle is down in a canyon)

I see what you mean Willy. . .hate it when these airports are in a ditch like that. I didn't get Jim's Martin-Baker loaded in time so I put him in a Spit for tonight. Notice the windsock in the shot of Mike landing. . .crosswind and it was giving us hell on landing.

:kilroy: Oops, forgot to take any more pictures. So here are three, before takeoff, and parked after landing.

Had a slight problem trying to get that 262 out of the hole that CCE4 is in, so I switched to a light twin. Nice flight into the setting sun to CYPN. Think I'll stick with this one for a while.
