P3 Update.........

Hey, Winder, sometimes life's easier, when you're NOT rich, right?
Anyway - as for me, I'm far from having checked out P2 yet; so I can and will wait patiently.

Thanks, Gousgounis, I'll try the RFC 56.

Any news?
You guys sure take your time when it comes to distribution and i still wounder why you didn´t go for a distribution via download as most independent developers these days.

Yep we sure do. All our fault. Wonder away you might come up with some reasons.

All this stuff has been discussed over and over, pop in more often and have a read.

RFC-56 for the earliest Se5. It starts from April 1917 and it is pretty close to the front line.
By far my favorite Squadron. With Albert Ball etc. etc.. And the April of 1917 is the Bloody April. Pretty exciting time to start your career :friday:.
For Camels I dont know.
I have a question though...what is the earliest Se5 in P3?? Is it still RFC-56? If yes, it starts from the first of April just like P2? And when is the Hispano Suiza first release and when is the Viper? Cheers.

Yep, still 56 RFC. It was the first squadron, and an elite squadron at that, equipped with the SE5. OFF the top of my head, the Viper arrives in April 18. There were a few examples delivered earlier, only those at the top of the pecking order ie a few select aces, will get it earlier.
Cheers,

One very possible reason for not distributing via download is you lose all control of it, it becomes Pirate Property, this way it's Private Property, plus you know what's on that DVD, if a problem were ever to arise

Plus of course, it takes a month to get phase two on dail-up :costumes:

May not be the right place for this question, CAMEL, but I just read your line "butcher of Saint Lieu". I'd like to start my alter ego carreer as David Marlowe with the British, but each Squad. I enlisted in, was miles away from the front line. Can you (or anyone else) tell me the earliest Camel or S.E.5 flying Squads close to the front?

Simply scroll through the dates for a squadron... hint, scroll backwards first ;) and yeah wrong thread.

Lieber Leutnant von Spatz
If your name means "sparrow", as I assume, it would be "Spatz" with one "a" (but carefull, German men also say that to their cuties - perhaps "Rabe" (Raven) would fit an officer from the "dark side" better?)
When you make it in your Eindecker, untill the Dr. 1 is introduced, you shure must be an aviator and ace (or you are flying in the wrong area altogether - do you sometimes meet enemies?) Lol!

Hey, Pol. Going through the Squad. list is all very nice, but as long as I don't know, were the town or village lies they are stationed, I can't figure out, if it's a short distance to the front (as I wanted), can I ? And, yes, wrong thread...:costumes:

Cheers; Olham

Er my Phase2 is fuzzy, but doesn't it show you on the screen where on the map you are located for a given date i.e. it moves as you change date, as your assigned base for that date moves).

It does in P3 anyway :)

Other than that no there is no list available to pick location, you pick squadrons.

Hey Olham. I actually didnt know what it meant I just took a German first name I liked and a last one that I liked and put them together and BAM! Got a good WW1 pilot. As for living that long..... I cheat a little bit. I fly a mission and advance the time by 3 days, like the good ole days of RB2/3d with the campaign edit. Ive made it from the E.III to the Dr.I once, but Ive found you can only do it with Jasta 6 or 15. P3 oughtta be able to bridge the gap for other squadrons with the Halberstadt D.II though.

Hi, ROOSTER
If you want a good German plane early on in P2, then you might sign with JaSta 2, as they have the earliest Albatros D II (as far as I know), in September 1916. With this plane, you can have early Nupes and even Spads for breakfast, not to mention the slow Airco DH2's. Just remember to take only so much fuel with you as you need for the tour (plus 10 -20 % for fighting time), and she'll be fine. Not great for steep climbs or dives, but rugged, and good overall performance. Best is: TWO guns.
Enjoy your breakfast! (And have a nice Xmas!)
Olham

Thanks Olham. We should be upgraded to the Alb. D.II in a couple of months....and yes, then I will have a nice big breakfast, lol. Merry Christmas to all.
