Nice livery!
There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Nice livery!
I thought so too! Gradually getting the old routine back.Nice livery!
Indeed, and plenty variations! You just can’t beat the “gray and white” USN for colorful markings!![]()
expat, I'm using the carriers via AI carriers. I'm not using their configurator because I just couldn't get it to work. So, I dropped back and installed the SWS Battle Group separately in my addons folder and set them up in AI carriers like any of my other carriers and it worked like a charm, including the visual cable engagement and retraction. I didn't do anything special, no workarounds.Good stuff Duckie. Just to be clear I am trying to use the SWS CV-43 as a straight simobjects/boat AI Carriers add-on and dispense with their overly engineered CEX gauge/configurator thing - too fiddly for me. May be why it loses the trap wire functionality. I think the SWS dev confirmed it was made differently than other carriers. Assume you are using the configurator profile tool for each flyable aircraft?expat, I'm using the carriers separately in AI carriers.
Daube, thanks for asking and the reminder about shadows. I turned them off initially when first installing with the intention of adding "eye candy" gradually as I got more settled inn the sim. I just haven't gotten around to turning the shadows back on to check and see what the frame rate hit would be. I'm still getting used to things and really haven't done much exploring the terrain yet.Just checking the screenshots here for the first time in a long while. Thanks for the nostalgia, I really miss the multiplayer carrier sessions I did in the past in P3Dv4 with my friends
I think I asked this question in the past already, so I apologize for the repetition, but why don't you guys activate the "cast / receive shadows" on the simobjects/scenery objects in your graphic options ? Having the plane sitting on the deck without having a shadow underneath looks a bit off.
Thank you, Cees. That looks very good!
