Where do I start.......
I think the beautiful Beaufighter isn't made by Rob, but by Dave Garwood.
I once owned a Benelli 650 Tornado. Nice bike, but wasn't very lucky with it. Engine had severe damage when the chain between crankshaft and clutch broke

. A close friend had a yellow Ducati 750 Super Sport, but he wasn't very lucky with. The bike went faster than he could handle. After several crashed he bought something slower.
I have owned a Yamaha XS650 for nearly 25 years, I had converted into a cafe racer. I gave it away to somebody who really wanted it.
Its been at least five years ago when I realised that Dutch traffic is too dense and fast for an occasional motor cyclist of my age........
I have never touched a motorcycle since.
I regret to say that I don't have any experience with racing cars.
Now back to the subject. Two other S-199 paints which I made a long time ago but which never made it to the file library.
1907 is my favourite. It was flown by Wayne Peake when it flipped during take off on December 15th 1948.
D.117 (renumbered as 1901 already) bellied on October 17 1948 after it had been hit by AA. That day it was flow by Giddy Lichtman.
As already mentioned by Thunder-100 the S-199 wasn't very easy to fly. It was too heavy and under powered. However according the comments from the Israeli pilots, take off and landings were the most hazardous part. It could out turn a P-51.
The synchronization from the propeller with engine mounted guns didn't very work smooth. Due to which several pilots shot their own (wooden) propeller.
Nevertheless in the flightsim it remains a challenge to fly this lovely model.
Cheers,
Huub
