Piper Pacer Super Pack, releasing!

Bill,

i very much agree with the other positive comments. This is a beautifully done package, old glass and all. It works very well in the Orbx airports.in PNW. Many thanks and I'll support that with dollars every time you give me the chance.

Glenn

Thank you and WELL DONE!!

I am loving the Pacer/Tri Pacer AND all its dirty windows! First plane I ever had to clean the windows. So beautiful in so many ways. After A2A Mustang and a Mustang in another sim, the take off in the Pacer is really tame. Makes me feel like I have learned something. Thank you for this excellent work of art. -Jim

Seems to have a more realistic flying model than the Carenado's, but just my opinion. Really a fine model Bill. Looking forwward to many hours of flying.
I'm wondering which of the Carenado planes you are comparing it to? They haven't done a Pacer or Tripacer as far as I know. Or are you just saying that their flight models 'in general' are not as good as the Lionheart Pacer?
Dave

must have been annoying when having to use opposite rudder?
This was the era of protecting the pilot from himself. Rudder interconnect, stall proof, just like driving your car etc. Fortunately, most of these were owner-correctible.

I just read a review of this excellent model over on AirDailyX. He was also complaining about the clarity of the glass. I don't get it! We ask for realistic models, and when we get them we complain! I'm not singling out anyone in this thread, rather referring to the mentioned "hate mail" and this absurd review.

This is a ridiculous review. He admits the FDE is very good, and the graphics are very good quality, and faults it for visibility!? It's a model of a plane with poor visibility!! The gauges are quite realistic. They look just like the gauges in my 1946 Aeronca Chief, which is a very similar plane and has poor visibility! The manual is included. The clean plexi feature does indeed bring the clarity of vision out the windshield to about as good as you can get for an old airplane like this. "Not a luxury model"?! Well, duh, no the Piper Pacer is not a luxury airplane. This is just about the most realistic model of a classic aircraft out there and his critique is basically whining because its not a different airplane than the original.

I'm glad I'm not a developer. It wouldn't be good for my blood pressure. I'll say it again: Thanks, Bill, for this excellent and realistic model.

See what you mean. I couldnt agree more with your comments. I haven't purchased the pacer yet... payroll thing, but I dont need to have it to understand your frustration. You cant buy a model of an antique plane and then complain that it is not setup like a lancair.

Cant wait to make my purchase.

Bill - is there a simple tweak to move the oil pressure up into the green? Normal is around 80 psi.

I'll be doing a fix on this. I learned of it yesterday evening.

The engine needs to be tweaked at the aircraft.cfg settings. I'll post as soon as its carried out.

I read it. He has also changed it. He didnt read the manual how you can clean the plexi. No one reads my manuals. Do you know how hard it is to make those??? arrgh...

But, this guy also writes; 'the model doesnt deserve these textures'. ? What?
He also wrote; 'too many liveries'. (People wanted more, and he says there should be less?)

eeks...

Too many is easy to fix with a ' at the end of the panel= line. Too few is not so easy to fix ;)

I have no idea what this individual is trying to say. Clearly he has a great need to say something...anything in fact, but it isn't a review, at least not one that would be accepted by any of the major Fsim sites.

I've just uploaded these two repaints to the library here. If they're not too fictional, nor too sloppy (I'm no pro), then enjoy!

Thanks again to Bill (and team) for this really fun little bird!

We set him straight Bill, he's upgraded his review. ;)

Thanks KB! I have been waiting on that impatiently! lol... Thanks for doing it. Looks great.

I've tried to comment on his blog twice, but he hasn't allowed either one to post. Didn't appreciate my pointing out all the flaws in his reasoning and critique, I suppose.

Unfortunately, for now, negative. I had also had requests for the squared rear windows. Already the project grew to a huge package; 4 variants, 3 panels. Sorry Dave. You already have 33 planes

well sheesh bill..you just wont let me have my way at all will ya???..........imma go to my corner and cry now..............

heheheheh

man i cant wait until i can buy this one

I wouldn't worry about the negative comments. You will never please everyone. 'waaa....this cockpit is too clean...we want it dirtier....' That cracked me up actually, if I owned an airplane that was worth a quarter million dollars like most GAs these days, that airplane would be absolutely spotless inside and out;) But to each their own. So you make a 'well worn vc' then 'waaa...this cockpit is too dirty, we want it clean...' Needless to say I think Bill has made at least 99% of us very happy with this beautiful little plane.

Thanks again for this little gem Bill. :salute: Take a break and enjoy some flying, or sci fiing:icon29:

Cheers
TJ
