I have reinstalled the nice freeware EC-135, and used the avatar mode + instant replay to watch one of my landings. The result is a kind of tower view but with free look (no moving though, you have to set the position of your avatar appropriately prior to triggering the instant replay):
Dimus, does A2A use the default Global Environment texture? In the past aircraft they have used custom environment map names which will disqualify them to be able to utilize dynamic reflections, even if you have them enabled. Haven't purchased this one yet. Just curious!
You're right Rick. I checked the texture folders and they use their own envmap. It just happens that it looks very much like ORBX England and I was fooled. I wonder if one deletes it from the texture folder, would the dynamic reflection work?
No it would not work. The Model file looks for the specific file that is assigned to provide the environment map. So the only way to change that is to recompile the model to use the global file. Which will not be realistically possible.
If the environment map name called out by the T-6 is not identical to the global one used in the core P3D root texture directory then it will 100% NOT WORK. I dont have this one so I can't check to be sure. But you guys can check easy enough. The Spit and P51 call it Env.dds. it could be something like that...or comoletely different. If you find the texture with 6 horizontal squares showing a generic terrain youve found it. If it called something other than the what is found in the global folder it won't work.
