Hi All

While I understand that no decision on how to pay for P3 has officially been announced, it was originally suggested that paypal would be the preferred method. Is this still the case?
I don't have a paypal account and not too keen on getting one, but a friend of mine does so my question is although I don't know where I am on the pre-order list can he pay for it for me or would that put me at the end of the list.

All will be revealed soon. If the final production checks are OK, everyone will be able to obtain Phase 3 and I believe with PayPal or standard credit card purchase.

BTW: Don't know what the edit line below is all about ???

But you do not need to pre-order any longer - we are well on our way to having the DVD distributed via a third party specialising in this work and so we will not be manually making a handful of DVDs per day etc etc.

Not Looking to take any bows . .BUT

This is coming from somebody, who has been a VERIFIED member of PayPal since 2001, without a lick of trouble

God knows for about 8 months, they tried every trick in the book to get my Password. Including Daily official looking Emails.

The bottom line is . . . PayPal will NEVER contact You

Every time I got a convinceing Email, I'd Delete . .then Log-in

As-long as you don't have a key logger, looking over your shoulder, you'll be fine.

I have neither a Pay-Pal account nor a credit card, but I'd like to get P3. Is there any way personal checks can be accepted? I'd accept a delay in shipping of a couple of weeks for the check to clear (although with electronic verification these days it shouldn't take that long). What about a cashier's check or money order? Both of those options are prepaid and pretty much as good as cash.
 
Excuse me ...perhaps, I'm out of line. Can't you get anybody over 18 to buy one for you, or are you in the witness protection program ?

Paypal is extremely safe. Getting a credit card for e-shopping is so easy nowdays...and it is for P3 for crying out loud :costumes:.

No, not well said. It's his business whether he has a credit card or not. He made a perfectly reasonable request, which the devs may or may not accommodate.
So, why throw critical comment at him.?

Regarding Credit Cards:

I am not kidding you but in the UK some credit card companies are taking away the cards from ***good*** customers. The ones that pay their bills on time and in full. The way the company sees it is that they can't make any money out of these ***good*** customers.
 
You don't get a "download", you get a bonafide, hard copy DVD to hold in your hot little hand. A tangible product in a virtual world. What a concept!

Well I for one, don't believe an apology is in order, it's a cold, brutal, world out there. Unfortunately if you walk into a Resturant saying that you're hungry, without any money you don't eat. And it's about time some people are made aware of it.

As I understand it, this DVD is to be a professional looking deal, with label and case. Professional means Business Like, and in today's business world, existence without a credit card is unheard of.

Now before I go getting all political, and starting my Liberalism is a mental disease RANT :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Gimpy - What are you on about. It seems you are saying that if the chap doesn't have a credit card to buy OFF with, then he should have. And if he hasn't, then he doesn't deserve to be able to buy it. !
For Crying out loud, It is up to the Devs whether or not he can buy by other means, and not for you to pre empt their reply by suggesting he deserve not to be able to buy it.

Don't get mixed up with "what you prefer to do, is the way others SHOULD do ".

Fact of the matter is a MEMBER of this web site asked a simple question
You chose to put him down on this public forum, In stead off offering
some other means for this member to purchase this prodoct.
Like i said , agree or disagree you owe him an apology, enough said here

Anyone can get a pre-paid VISA card these days. No credit necessary. I have had to pass on a lot of items advertised on line because I didn't have a credit card, or at least a debit card.(I have one now) If you don't meet the requirements for purchase laid down by the seller, you don't buy, it's as simple as that, and the seller can't be expected to make allowances for everyone. And yes, this is a friendly helpful forum. Today the PC police seem to be out in force. Most who know the Gimpster would just take his comments with a grain of salt, some get offended. Oh well.
