After I released the Puss Moth, I realized that I had forgotten to add specular lighting to the exhaust pipe (as shown). If there is a strong interest, I will release an updated model.

Also, I liked this dark scheme that was a pre-cursor to the G-ABLS scheme. I also like regular wheels and tires for it as shown.

If anyone would like this incognito version, I can make it available as well.

Sound off if you want either.

Sure thing Milton. I especially like the spec on the pipe. Can the wheel pants be an option we can select?

hi Milton,

I never did quite understand what specular lighting is but sure :):monkies:

Specular lighting gives you the highlites, sun glare, and reflectivity on objects, not to be confused with glossiness. Look at the exhaust pipe in the screenshot and compare it to the blandness (lack of highlights) on your dh-80a. You can also see the highlights at this angle on the main gear strut. In the second picture, you can see the specular highlites on the fuselage side of the left wing at the gull wing curvature.

Matted or flat finishes like camo use much less or none at all.

Ahhh, thank you. And I thought that this feature was only available in FSX. Pretty cool. :jump:

I don't know for the other persons, but I am interested in those improvements of your model !! :applause:

Thank you Gentlemen. It seems there is sufficient interest in the change so it shall be. :jump:

Actually, there are 4 model variations with the new one above and that will take a few hours to get them modified and tested. I will upload and post these optional updates here likely by Wednesday night.

Thanks for your interest. I appreciate that. :wiggle:

Late as always, but please count me in as well. The current models are really beautiful in their simplicity. Any expansion on that is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

hi Milton,

Maybe this comparison will help understanding of specular effects.

The top is with, the bottom is without. Notice how bland the bottom picture is. Notice the wings' leading edges, the nose, the wheel pants glare, and the prop spinner.

Back on topic, the released models do have specular effects but I forgot to add that effect to the exhaust pipe only. The update will correct that.

We learn something new each day :jump:

Thanks for explaining about the spectacular effects Milton :applause:

I'm also waiting in the lineup for the updates.
Thanks again Milton for sharing your talents with us :ernae:

Pete.
