Rafale C for FS2004

Norton sees the exe as a threat and removes it from my system immediately! This is the first time this happens, so I'm a bit worried.

No problems with Panda AV here, just Win7 that freaks out because it (yet) hasn't been downloaded a lot.

Just installed it and already flown it 4 times !

Super cool Rafale for FS9. And super light on FPS too !
Thanks to the VPA Rafale Team

For crystal clear textures you have to resave all sub files from DXT1 to DXT3
using Martin Wright's BXTBmp reformater tool.

I have done it. Its a long process but the end result is perfect !

Malicious File

First time I've ever seen a download rejected by Chrome/WIN XP - definitely something not very kosher here.

Be a lot crisper if one had the original textures in 32 bit, say.
Saving to DXT1 is extremely lossy, converting it again to DXT3 means you have a 3rd-generation lossy texture!

Maybe the effects of gear's suspension are limited, but what a beast...:salute:

Not bad! :applause:

Hi Guys!
I had a nice ride on that Aircraft! Thanks a lot to the Designers....I know how much time it takes to do something like that ;)

To converte the Textures to DXT3 would be a good thing for a update!
The main Problem for me is the Gauge illumination if you fly against the Sun in VC view!
I can see almost nothing on the Moving Map, but this could be fixed easily in the Model!
For me it is to easy to pull over-G's, could also be fixed...

Cheers

Me too. It's a medium threat due to low reputation. Very new and few downloaders. I would imagine it's safe.

It's all very safe. Just tell your downloaders and virus checkers to bugger off and get on with it. :salute:

Here are the aircraft.cfg changes I sent to the VPA team yesterday after the preview. Not sure if they made it into the final download or not. But just in case open each "aircraft.cfg" to edit and make these changes. This will stop ATC from calling you "Experimental".

Very safe !
Norton like to issue false positive :(

The same with AVG.
I overrode the warning and the install seems to be safe (after complete system scan).

A fantastic looking new freeware aircraft, great to fly!

A big 'Thank You' to everybody involved! :applause:

My anti-virus detected "Trojan.ADH", a nasty worm that was imbedded in the un-install.exe for the Rafale. The plane itself is OK, albeit a bit new for the masses. My anti-virus also detected this and said that too little was known for the download to be compleately safe. It's not the fact that it's a new release, I get that all the time from my AV program. Just if you decide that you don't like the new Rafale, and run the un-installer program... you could be in for trouble. Too bad, I was so looking forward to flying the new model.... but I can wait until they get all the bugs worked out, I've waited this long already.

If your Anti-Virus program is up to date and reputable, it should trap and quarantine this little trouble maker no problem. It's been around for a while.

I use Norton Internet Securities 2012 and the latest updated version of "MalwareBytes" Anti Malware. They don't run together mind you... the MalwareBytes program is compleately manual.

This information has been passed along to VPA.

Uh, too late. Sixteen years of surfing and downloading, and zero instances of malware of any kind. If I've been infected, I'm done with the Flightsim world. Call me pissed...

So thrilled this aircraft has finally been given to us ... very thankful for that ! Hoping Zsolt or Matt will bless us with their collective repainting skills with this Jet ! Mike
