RAZBAM LTV A-7 Corsair II released

Read all the forum (Razbam too) and got the feeling that this is one of those "simulated planes" that I must learn to fly like real life...
Same old controversy....do I need this? No.

Just want to have the option "CTRL E" and enjoy myself rather than crash for fuel starvation...
hundreds of planes in FSX. Just impossible to have almost full reality.
Do not want to manage systems if I prefer it that way....
Why can´t I have this option? To difficult to program? Mathias did it with his Fw-190 and i bought the option. Wil not buy this one, regardless is a wonderfull plane

I Agree

I fear that you may be Wasting your Time with this, a few of us have Stated the Same Feelings on this matter, However A "Poll" was set up and I looks as though The "Keep it real" folks Won out, Flying this bird was a bit Frustrating at times if ya really wanted to turn and burn,so to speak, but, Whatcha gona Do, I too wondered why an Option was not made available to those of us who Paid to Enjoy the Bird without having to Manage Anything, But That too was Quickly Struck down, All I can say Sir is that" When in Rome" :salute::salute:

P.S. I have Figured out how to fly it without any problems. Not Whining or anything.:monkies:

Well, maybe there will be another patch? I hope so ...

However, we must say that they did a great job with the implementation of the TCS AN/ANS 91, Radar AN/APQ 126, PMDS and ASCU ... which is no small ...

I repeat - I sincerely hope in a patch and I really am very glad I bought it.

I hope that RAZBAM will make the SLUF as a milestone for FSX as indeed did the boys of the VRS.

PS - Thank you Pete!!!!!

I don't think there will be a patch. Prowler said a while back that it was one or the other. Since the realistic folks won on this matter, I don't think we will be seeing a patch. I really think you guys should just read the manual and figure it out because it really isn't that hard to figure out. Remember, various members of the Razbam team warned us that this wouldn't be a easy plane. You still bought it.

Hi Rattler

Know about the poll...and would like very much to know how much airplanes the "purists" master...

Just wanted to say to builders that they have done a wonderfull plane, but, regardless of that, I will not buy it without the option of easy flying. Quite sure many will do just the same.

By no means want to start this debate once more...

Regards

Logged 8 hours in the A7 and not once with loss of engine. Successfully tried to blow the engine to see what happens. Beaufighter, you are making a mistake taking such an extreme view. Sounds like default aircraft are your strong suit. Time to stop whining and put it to rest.

Interesting statement. Yes I bought it, but where in this discription does it mention the "complexity" of the aircraft?

this is from Simarket tonight...

LTV A-7 Corsair II
The Ling-Temco-Vought A-7 Corsair II is a carrier-based subsonic light attack aircraft introduced to replace the United States Navy's A-4 Skyhawk, initially entering service during the Vietnam War.
The Corsair was later adopted by the United States Air Force, to include the Air National Guard, to replace the A-1 Skyraider, F-100 Super Sabre and F-105 Thunderchief. The aircraft was also exported to Greece in the 1970s, and Portugal and Thailand in the late 1980s.
The A-7 airframe design was based on the successful supersonic F-8 Crusader produced by Chance Vought. It was one of the first combat aircraft to feature a head-up display (HUD), an inertial navigation system (INS), and a turbofan engine.
The A-7 offered a plethora of leading-edge avionics compared to contemporary aircraft. This included data link capabilities that, among other features, provided fully "hands-off" carrier landing capability when used in conjunction with its approach power compensator (APC) or auto throttle. Other notable and highly advanced equipment was a projected map display located just below the radar scope. The map display was slaved to the inertial navigation system and provided a high-resolution map image of the aircraft's position superimposed over TPC/JNC charts. Moreover, when slaved to the all-axis auto pilot, the inertial navigation system could fly the aircraft "hands off" to up to nine individual way points. Typical inertial drift was minimal for newly manufactured models and the inertial measurement system accepted fly over, radar, and TACAN updates.
Production of Corsairs continued through 1984, yielding a total of 1,569 aircraft built. The A-7 Corsair has the distinction of being the only United States single seat jet fighter-bomber of the 1960s that was designed, built, and deployed directly into the Vietnam War.
LTV A-7 Corsair II
A-7D Corsair II:
Version built for the USAF, with one Allison TF41-A-1 turbofan, and a single 20 mm M61 Vulcan gatling cannon; the AN/APN-153 navigational radar in earlier models was replaced by the AN/APN-185 navigational radar, the AN/APQ-116 terrain following radar in earlier A-7B/C was replaced by the AN/APQ-126 terrain following radar; 459 examples were built.
A-7E Corsair II:
Naval carrier-capable equivalent of the A-7D; the AN/APN-185 navigational radar in the earlier A-7D was replaced by the AN/APN-190 navigational radar, the AN/APQ-126 terrain following radar in earlier A-7D was replaced by the AN/APQ-128 terrain following radar; 529 examples were built.

I'm just saying. If RAZBAM is breaking new ground...don't you think it should be mentioned in its detailed description? I think so.....not everyone reads at SOH and is privey to the blasting that myself and others have gotten because of our "issues" with the aircraft.

My 2 cents

Believe me, just stated my opinion. Not buying an add-on to fly my the book. Think I'm entitled to it.
Whining is not a proper word to use is this matter.
Not whining...
And ok put it to rest.

Be happy

.against all odds..

Gents:
We are working in a patch, fixes 1 visible issue (HUD Collimation) and one gauge we inadvertently left out.
Release date TBA

Best regards

But you haven't pleased everyone yet!?

:::crawls back under rock:::

On a serious note. The way I handle these issues as a purchaser of FS payware, I usually wait until enough people have purchased a product and read their reviews to buy it. Unless I have actually followed the products development closely, then I'll buy it when it's released. With the caveat of knowing there is a 99% chance there will be patches, because, having been an add on developer, I'm aware that due to the complexity of development that something invariably gets missed and the developer can only control what the developer can control and that doesn't include the users PC. Just my $.02

I'm greatly looking forward to the Twosair. I know it will be a while. :)

Believe me, i did all the thinking necessary and there is something that needs to be fixed or it wont be able to interact with future developments, and then, when those are out, it will be too late. And since i´m into it, i fix that collimation thingie...
It´s all code, in fact, you might not even notice it(besides the collimation), but to be fair and square, you WILL need it in the future if you want some pretty clever stuff to interact with your bird.
Currently, the A and B´s are in final coding assembly, if you think current birds are complicated, early versions of it were really more to take care about, for starters they had a very stubborn engine, prone to compressor stalls during cat launchs, due to vapor ingestion, not to mention a bit less power at the end of the power curve which means you do have to check those gauges.Might not be of everyone´s taste, but this is our "busy cockpit" concept.

Best regards

Splended news indeed! Well done RAZBAM! I can understand that this is quite a big effort for you, but I am sure it will yield you happy customers.
