RAZBAM LTV A-7 Corsair II released

I wish i could hire you Empeck, you dont happen to be a registered ICU nurse with lots of neuro experience, do you? :icon_lol:

Believe me, i did all the thinking necessary and there is something that needs to be fixed or it wont be able to interact with future developments, and then, when those are out, it will be too late. And since i´m into it, i fix that collimation thingie...
It´s all code, in fact, you might not even notice it(besides the collimation), but to be fair and square, you WILL need it in the future if you want some pretty clever stuff to interact with your bird.
Currently, the A and B´s are in final coding assembly, if you think current birds are complicated, early versions of it were really more to take care about, for starters they had a very stubborn engine, prone to compressor stalls during cat launchs, due to vapor ingestion, not to mention a bit less power at the end of the power curve which means you do have to check those gauges.Might not be of everyone´s taste, but this is our "busy cockpit" concept.

Best regards

You have no idea how awesome that sounds to me. Music to my ears. An airplane that operates like an....airplane!!!! BTW, I don't know if you know my comment before this was snark, up to the serious part, which was a warning to buyers, and in no way an indictment of your fine work. ;)

BTW, I had never thought about all of the little problems in the early versions and it's very cool that you're modeling them.

Want this one so bad but money is terribly tight. Probably a dumb question since this is still a very popular product, but will she be sold through third party anytime soon and hopefully they'll have a sale?
Stupid question but have to ask. :salute:

Thanks Ron, looking forward to making a great aircraft even better. Great service and commitment.

Prowler:

Outstanding! I have been considering purchasing this impressive aircraft since it came out. Your continued commitment to addressing customers' requests and maintaining realism were the final straws -- I WILL be purchasing this as soon as the updated installer is available! Thanks.

Skyhawk4am and Beaufighter. I'm sorry that you're not enjoying the aircraft.

We were surprised when Warchild managed to get a FDE so close to reality that all the warning lights came to life. We got the ENG HOT and at first were concerned and later happy. But losing the engine due to an overtemp is just one of the many things that will prematurely end your flight.

This is a very difficult aircraft to fly, and that's true even when you take the engine out of the equation. If you make the wrong maneuver, you will find yourself strapped to a brick and with the same flying characteristics. Unlike the F-4, which had the fame of being a brick-with-wings, the A-7 will just drop and there's nothing you can do about it. And that's how the real aircraft behaved too. Here you are flying a virtual aircraft, think about the pilots who flew them in combat with these limitations and with the need to maneuver to survive. Talk about pilot workload.

That's what we worked so hard to get. To duplicate the feel of flying the real A-7, with all the problems that aircraft had.

Please take the challenge, fly it, and in the end when you master the A-7, you can tell yourself that you have flown a real aircraft (or as close to real as we could get :)).

Zeus, well put. That's why many of us love this A7 and is the real meaning behind "As Real As It Gets"

To all who strive to give us a true to life simulation, THANK YOU.

Jim

And to those who do not appreciate the effort, that's OK. You are entitled to your choices too. So many of us served to preserve choices in this world. Let's celebrate our differences in that light.

Just wanted to let RAZBAM know that I took my first introductory spin in this bird from Whidbey Island NAS all the way out to the coast of Washington and back. You guys have done a wonderful job on this bird, and I highly recommend it. She really isn't that hard to fly. Sit down with the manual for an hour or two and you got her down pretty solid (at least in my case).

The Dagger was a blast, but this is pure bliss. You guys have completely outdone yourselves and I commend you for your hard work.

I'll be testing weapons later.

Looking forward to the patch with the collimated HUD.

Cheers!

Ron & Razbam Team,

Finally got the SLUF from FS Pilot Shop. Brilliant, absolutely love it, this is one of the nicest jet warplane models that I have flown "straight out of the box". Can't stop buzzing the tower just to hear those wonderful engine sounds over and over. Congratulations to all the team, this is your best model yet and a credit to you all. :ernae:

Best regards,

John N.
