RAZBAM LTV A-7 Corsair II released

After reading the threads . It seems to be a difficult plane to fly . This is my question . How do most have it configured in FSX . What settings do some of you have, like easy flight or more realistic settings . Is it still difficult to fly with easy setting . I want this plane so bad, that I can taste the jet fuel . But on the other hand I have spent a lot of money on a few that are impossible to fly . I am not a real world pilot but love aircraft .Thanks for any help .

There wouldn't be a demo for it would there .

It´s easier than you think, using normal settings (or easy settings) as long as you follow the numbers you´re set ( i fly in hard settings, meaning i do have to watch the g´s).It´s quite simple, don´t abuse of the throttle, use 100% throttle to get out of trouble (i.e. stalls) and check your airspeed during sustained turns, DO NOT under any circumstance let it go under 117 Knots (IAS) even worse at 1000ft or you´re history.Check your TOT gauge, there are 2 red line zones, if you reach the 1st zone (delimited in the last patch), or 600, you´ll have a Master Caution light and you WILL have a few minutes to correct the issue before you reach a no way back situation. Most simmers find 85% a comfortable throttle setting, don´t worry about speed, let it run, it will reach your desired speed and in some cases you might even overspeed, remember, it´s not a F-14 or a F-16.DO NOT make powered dives at high rpm´s or you´ll get a compressor stall (once again, the master caution light will tell you) and if you abuse, it will go down as well no matter what you try.It happened that way, after a few crashes and burns you WILL be able to fly it, and after a while, you WILL be able to perform some of those stunts that made bomber pilots famous.Let it grow into you.

Best regards

I don't find it difficult to fly at all. However, I haven't used hardly any of the systems. I just bought it. You need to print the manual off, bind it and keep it nearby. It isn't too complex, IMHO. It's just you are getting a lot for your money here and it will take a while to familiarize yourself with all of the systems and how they operate.

In fact, I just bought it two days ago and flew it last night. The only problem I had was when I killed the engine due to over temp, which is real easy to do. The reason I did that is I just shot a bolter and was adding power for the go around. But, not having the view system you put on your cap (I can't remember the name now) I went by throttle position and guessed wrong and over did it. I'm going to put a little piece of painters tape on my throttle to know where I can advance to without looking down in the cockpit to see the temp. Most other times it isn't a problem, but when you're in a high work load part of the envelope with the standard vision system (A hat on my JS), that's what got me.

But I like that it's that accurate. Other than that, or hell, just like that, read the manual and pay attention to the limits and it's really easy to fly, IMHO. In fact, if I get the time this weekend, I might just make my self a little chart with the limits to watch on it as a quick ref and keep it here by my monitor.

BTW, my bolter would have been a trap if I had the software installed to do that, I just haven't got around to it yet. ;) Oh, I shot it on the AS enterprise just off of Norfolk. One of these days I'll have to figure out where the moving CV's are installed. :icon_lol:

Yes indeed, and you´ll have your downloads reset, i know is a big file, and i apologize in advance, but there is no other way around or we´ll end up having all the same issues we had when we released the 1st patch. And now..lol..this is def the last patch..lol.

Final versiob ready!

Gents:
Final patch is up and running, all customers previous to September 17 got their accounts downloads reset so you can go and get it, if you purchase after this date, your product is already patched.
It´s the full download, no small file, but the whole thing again (roughly 230 MB´s)

Prowler,
forgot to say ... may i suggest use a different name for the uninstall file because as it is now, it got over a uninstall file for another addon that i have (The Islander), so every time i try to uninstall the islander, the a7 uninstall takes over!!!

Thanks!

Just downloaded and installed and test flew the new patch. All I have to say about the new HUD is:

BINGO!

:jump::ernae::jump:

Bravo Zulu RAZBAM peoples!

You guys got the HUD right.

I've noticed however that a few of the switches, once switched to a certain position, will not switch back. Particularly the SHRIKE switch by the radar from over-ride, stby, and norm...from what I remember the switch position to be.

Anyways, very happy with her!

Good job!

Hi Prowler,

A quick pre-purchase question here: Do you mip-map your gauges? I dont like mip-mapping as gauges that are mip-mapped (and textures) tend to blur when you are not looking directly at them. If they are mip-mapped? is there a way of un mip-mapping them? Thanks in advance.

Great work BTW :salute: - A challenging (highly simulated, failures etc) jet is very hard to come by in FSX.

Thanks Guys , time for a bit of early morning carrier runs off the coast of New Zealand :jump:
