i was goto Buy This now That i see in the post Over head you have to Buy planes to use them? in this new sim ok thats just ripping people off if i wanted to pay to play ill go do warbirds or aces high II :angryfir:
The initial price of the sim is cheap. It is a ground breaking sim worth having. The price of the additional planes, just over $7 is extremely cheap esp. since the quality of these a/c is far and above most payware a/c for FSX. There is no sim that even comes close to getting aerial combat right like this sim. IL2 even sucks compared to Rise of Flight. It is a helluva bargain.
3 grand computer,$1400 monitor,$300 in joysticks, rudders, a couple grand in addons for FSX/FS9, $40 plus $7 for a few planes doesnt seem so much. FSX and now ROF are the only "games "on my computer. All my shooters, racing ect are Playstation 3 and they are $60 a game.
Here I am whining again. I did a scenerio with the SE5 attacking a balloon. 2 albatross attack and ripped me to shreds. So just to test, I turned off damage. I stuck to one like glue and hammered him. Nothing....
Eventually he went into this back and forth race track pattern doing rudder stall turns. Everytime he got to the top and kicked the rudder, I was on his ass eating him up with lots of lead raining bullets into the top of his plane. This went on for 4 or 5 more times till I was laughing. Then he went into a slow shallow dive again with me at his 6 dumping unlimited ammo into him. Finally at low level he rolled over and went in.
Next flight, damage on, we go head to head and I get pummeled first pass. Screen goes red and with two against one, It was over before it began.
