There were quite a number that were not included in my texture folder. But don't seem to be causing any problems- that I have heard of at any rate. Guess they must be standard issue CFS2 textures present in all configurations. I am wondering if maybe I ought to go ahead and include them anyway, just to be on the safe side. The shore textures I am not worried about. Those are standard issue.
While I have you MaskRider I have discovered one more abnormality when I want to free flight takeoff from SG Ishigaki.

Hi kwb737 & MR,
KWB737, Check if you have the old Ishigaki from 10 years ago installed. It's not GSL, so the trees are a permanent feature. There's also an old version of Yonaguni and a rendition of Miyako by another author which need deleting.
Chris, The scenery is wonderful but I can't get rid of those green rectangles. As well as the ones previously mentioned, I have two more further north on Ishigaki as well as a few scattered amongst the other islands. They are all located on the coast and coincide with harbour scenery. All the airfields show up perfectly.
I downloaded your revised package with the missing sand texture. I've got the textures triplicated in the main TEXTURE folder, the SCENEDB/World folder and the Sakishima-Gunto folder, all to no avail.
I've tried changing the layer order, deactivating other scenery layers such as Rhumba's new water masking, his old water files, his old coastal flattens, etc. Still no joy.
I've had a look at your bgl files with a hex editor to see if I was missing any other textures but can't see any.
Thanks,
Kevin
Well Mask, that's how I've got it now. Figured it's a fail safe method as you mentioned. Also have them in the root texture folder. Not the "wa" airstrip bmp's
Only the others that were missing along with the packaged originals.

Hi kwb737,
Thanks very much for posting the screen shots.
What you have there is a scenery conflict. An old version and the new version of Hateruma and Ishigaki are trying to share the same patch of ground.
Make sure you have deactivated any old MaslRider Japanese scenery and/or any other Japanese scenery.
MR
I had "CFS2 Coast Pacific" installed in my scenery library for some unimportant reason and as soon as I deactivated it the elevation problem was fixed!!![]()
INSTALLING mr-sakishima-gunto-160209 scenery pack
- Hi-lite all files in the MR Sakishima-Gunto/texture folder
- Copy and paste them to your main CFS2/TEXTURE folder
- If asked to overwrite click “no”.
Thank you kwb737! That is a major help! Well done.
MR
Hi Chris. I've also found out that the airfield conflict was caused by some scenery that I had for Ryukyu (I think by Steve McLelland). Removing the file Ryukyu3.bgl seems to work. Many thanks, Dick.
M.R., YOU DID IT AGAIN!!!!!

Many, many thanks for setting the standard about how CFS2 sceneries could be. A few years ago your first works inspired everybody who wanted a little bit more than the stock looks, and, more than anything else, you showed us what could be done with CFS2! One heck of a trailblazing!
THANK YOU!
