Screenshots (FS2024)

Figured we need an FS2024 version of the official screenshot thread. Starting out by memorializing what we all saw for the first hour on launch day! Actual in-sim shots coming soon, just finished the install and configuring controllers!

Anyone pay attention to the landing shot of the bush plane just before your last screenie? Looks like the prop spinner lost a bunch of screws and is coming loose!

OK first in the Sim, although missing the pilot?

These screen shots while well done, don't look any better than 2020 with the exception of the clouds. Those do look nice.

I'd even say they look fantastic ! (way much better than 2020 anyway) Then again, nightlighting (in Noddy's shot with a completely black F-35 looking like a cardboard model..) looks extremely unrealistic, uninspiring and downright awful and ugly (all IMHO, certainly not rushing to buy a new system just for MS2024..)

I wonder what it's like flying thru these wonderful looking clouds... ( Same as in msfs2020 ? ..... Just slowly passing by transparant 2D pics, no sense of speed AT ALL...) Or something much more realistic ?..... Possibly maybe even like flying thru the clouds in the unfortunately perished MS Flight ?.....That sure was something the new team did right ! )

@ Noddy: how about a FLY-BY Camera option ? Seen anything that might point in that direction ??..... Thanks !

Bandwidth is the only thing that matters. If you do not have it, do not purchase this sim. I have it, but I have to wait on it, even though my modem says I am pulling in 976 Mbps! Had two good flights at Smith Mountain Lake this morning and this afternoon. Getting a steady 45 FPS fully loaded, but it depends a lot on the time of day as to the bandwidth.

I haven't had the time to get properly set up yet or do any serious simming (thankful for the MSFS 2020 keyboard profile option, for the quick play thus-far), but here are a selection of screenshots - all raw/unedited, default '2024 everything. I'm really looking forward to the weekend when I can spend a good amount of time in the new sim. I've read some folks mention that the flight modeling across the board seems more lifelike than MSFS 2020.
