Took a spin in the Gripen this evening. Handles nicely and seems stable trimmed at cruise (no autopilot). Good looking pit, but I don't know how functional it is. (Pit picture got a little over exposed...the HUD is quite nice.)Screenshot 2026-04-12 194845.pngScreenshot 2026-04-12 195029.pngScreenshot 2026-04-12 195416.png

Not my usual place to fly but thought I'd try out the Seattle area for once and naturally some seaplane stuff. For this I choose the Beaver floater. The aircraft is great but my god the scenery is shockingly bad. I thought this was heartland Microsoft territory - the trees are awful and there are ugly triangle blocks of buildings all round the air harbour. Back to the high desert for me !

I went to bed feeling a bit...funny. Sure enough, I woke up in a French sort of mood. So, the best thing to do was to roll the C.160 out of the hangar at Orleans-Bricy. As soon as I got home from work, I started doing some area flights, intermixed with touch-and-goes on the main runway. I wrapped up, so far, with a full-stop landing on the grass strip used for practice tactical approaches. Every time I fly the Transall, I'm impressed. Every landing is smooth as butter!
