  • Special Server Maintenance

    Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

    You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

    If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

    To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

I don't like this skin, even when this was released brand new. To me it has never had the level of what the CFS3 community skinners have issued.
 
Couldn't agree more LZ,
Surprised that an experienced sim software house like JF should turn out payware like that, just awful (looked just as bad in Fs9!).

As you say, there are many talented painters out there, why oh why didn't they just get someone good to do it...I mean what would John/B4 have done for them! (and I'm sure he would have only charged them a tenner or so to do it....ha ha ;)).

Some nice repaints would have been nice. The stock skin does look terrible,especially compared to what we have now. Still, brings back memories when we didn't have much to choose from. Regards,Scott
 
Latest project has been adding exhaust where missing or adjusting to absolute positions when the emitter is wrong.

Its the xdp file effects section, I'll make a separate thread about it later today, Ive already done all the models that use the stock aircraft .m3d plus a few others
