Unless you agree with my theory on the functionality of gunnery spread'
( OFF Tips & Cheats #28 ) Then we can safely say: on tightest if you miss you'll miss clean, but if you hit, you'll ruin his day. And on widest, you'll need to be closer. For as the distance to the target increases, the distance between one bullet and the next also increases.
Likewise, it only makes sense, that there are three choices of bullet power for a reason. Being one who believes that your most frugal target
( How many bullets he can accept, without showing any effect ) is the pilot. NORMAL = Default, you better hit his flesh first, because your bullet ain't gonna go thru much to reach him.
STRONG = My setting - you can be reasonably sure, that when directly behind him and you shoot at his tail, some projectiles would hit his back, perhaps lacking enough power to instantly kill him, but you would, at least theoretically quiet him down.
STRONGEST = only belongs in an Arcade. It'll penetrate threw just about any part of that aircraft, to score a hit, the only thing that could give cause to pause. Is the fuel tank, or the engine. Good targets anyway.
Also I should think it would be pretty good at tearing wings off.
It's basically the same as hunting game with a firearm ( use enough gun )
Other than a brain shot, at a stationary critter. Your goal is Blow his Heart into smitherrens. Your bullet Must have sufficent power, to go thru sinew and muscle, to reach the heart. Another target is to smash the shoulder bone into many sharp fragments which will cut up the lungs. Not as effective as a heart shot, but it does the job. Plus if you miss his shoulder bone, you'll pulverize his Lungs. He'll run, but not far.
Actually it is a violation of the Hunting Regulations in most areas, to use a bullet which lacks sufficent power, to reach the vitals, having enough power remaining to do fatal damage.
Naturally the Hunter, must do his part to deliver the bullet into the boiler room of a moving animal.
Unfortunately, after the close of every Deer season, the woods are littered with bloated Deer Carcases. The result of a Gut Shot, where the bullet lacked sufficent power to penetrate the intestinal area, then hit a vital organ. Or the Elmer Fudd didn't know what he was doing, and didn't belong there in the first place. So the animal dies a long and painful death, what a WASTE.
