• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

I believe SU set some gold standards and I'm very happy to have their AC. Having said that, the Mig-3 texture mapping seems a little wonky. Will have to do a deeper dive into the mapping idiosyncrasies.

The Mig-3 had one 12.7mm UBS gun, two 7.62mm ShKAS guns in the nose and a 12.7mm UBK in each gun pod. Looking more closely at the AvHistory guns reveals there is no 12.7mm UBS gun. I suspect the major difference between the 12.7mm's was rate of fire(?). I have a set of guns by Hilmar Rulke that include all three and also a set of RS-32 rockets by Dancat that I've successfully tested on the Mig. FYI: Dancat started a Mig-3 years ago but it remains incomplete. I have the Gmax files should anyone wish to finish it.

Also, I tweaked the Aircraft.cfg a bit with data (horsepower/stall speed/and so on) I found on the AM-35A engine. The results weren't meant to be dramatic but she does seem a bit more stable now on take off and during turns. This one is for the MiG-3-LO (you will have to change .txt to .cfg).

For those interested, this is a good source of info:

For the F-6a, F-6b, and F-6c you can add a Photographer position to the xdp file. Replace the <Seats> </Seats> section with the text below.
Also works for Mustang I PR, Ia and II.
Each time you access this with the F6 key you will need to flick the hat switch to get it to look left.
If you are using Track IR you will have to use F9 to turn it off so the hat switch will work.
From the photographer station you can take screenshots that will simulate the port looking view of the camera mounted behind the pilot.

I noticed on the Mig-3-LO skin that the 7 still reverses if you zoom out enough for the LOD to drop.
I bumped the texture resolution up to 2048 when I made it a stand alone.
To add the new pod and weapons you have to do some edits to the xpd.

Looks wonderful ! Just downloaded the BoB Hurricanes and can't wait to try them out. A definite upgrade in looks with using Ankor's shaders.
