I just found out the hard way that the P-51 package is missing the reference engine sound files needed in the SU_A62A (Allison), and SU_P_51B (Merlin) Sound folders. Setting up replacement alias sound.cfg files now.

For use with the publicly released P-51 pack from Sky Unlimited.

The referenced sound files are missing from the original pack. Included in this zip are the two sound folders needed to provide the Allison (place in su_a36a) and Merlin (place in su_p_51b) engine sounds. All the other aircraft in the Sky Unlimited pack alias back to these.

Effects entries for the five different aircraft configurations are provided. Find the <Effects> </Effects> section near the bottom of the xdp file and add...

THESE ARE NOT TO BE UPLOADED ANYWHERE ELSE WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM THE AUTHOR

Does this imply that stand alones are permitted to be uploaded only at SOH or that stand alones may not be uploaded period without prior permission?

Jesse ok'd their upload to SoH, he didn't mention any other sites. Standalones or skins I would say come under the same thing, so go ahead Barry.
 
Thanks Clive. Stand alones are still off in the distant future, I was just curious.

FYI: AvHistory Russian guns may be substituted for the stock guns in the Sky Unlimited AC. Also, you will need the stock fw_190a_5_s.dds and fw_190a_5_t.dds files for the gun pods to have proper textures or they will appear black. These files are not in MAW.

I have this Mig-3 skin from way back but can't remember who created it. If anyone knows please speak up.

I just noticed that the texture image associations for the Hurricane IId, and IId trop appear to be switched. The names match the call out in the m3d but the images are swapped. (Desert colors in Europe and Europe colors on Trop version)

Yes Andy, it's a bit of a mess, have you got to the MK IIc non trop yet, the speculative and reflective texture don't work on that one!
 
Excited to see such interest in these SU aircraft. Models with great potential , and with some tweaking, would be fantastic. They also really need their flight modeling improved to better standards to make them complete. Thanks Guys. A nice thing Mr. Jesse did.
