SOH Team Project - Grumman Tracker, Trader, Tracer

Looking. . .GREAT! (I was going to say "good" but that would be a understatement:icon_lol:)
I can't get over how fast you work Milton. Can I buy you a drink? :icon29:

When the time comes you can definately count me in for some texture sets.

:salute:

I will also echo this. Whatever I can do to help in this department, will be my pleasure and honour to do so. :salute:

I will be happy to paint JMSDF variants, or anything else that is desired!

I know that will please a lot of people. Thanks!

Been working the last several hours on wing/nacelle interfaces and cutting in the exhaust ports.

Your doing great work Milton! Not sure if you have added this yet but dont forget the bubble on the rear of the inner main gear doors. My guess is its for the pointy part of the main struts/ hinge area.

I love these planes! Ive been around the A & T models all my life. I helped a buddy fuel the Turbo Trackers today after a full day of fire bombing missions.

Cant wait for any model you release! This is a great aircraft all around and I know with your attention to detail you will be spot on! keep up the GREAT work :salute:

:salute: Big 'T' I don't know how to express my gratitude for the enormous input you've already contributed to this project!

If I understand correctly, you have LIVE access to these incredible machines; lucky man!

Dare I ask about the possibilities of 'aquiring' authentic recordings for flap and retracs???

Thanks Nigel! Yeah I live by the Air Attack Base in Hemet where they use the Grumman S-2F3AT (S-2T) Turbo Trackers for Initial attack fire bombing missions. I grew up with them using the S-2As (which sounds wayyyyyy bettter). Those two are what got me addicted to photographing airtankers.

S-2As sounding wayyyyyy better;? YYYYYep!!!! I love those radials.

Re: flap sounds; I'm now your best fan.

My sincere thanks Big 'T'. :salute:

A few more shots of the wing folds process ...

Keep in mind that I haven't seen an actual wing folding in action but this is what the wing pivot angles give me.

Great Job Milton!:applause: I'm always checking this thread:kilroy: ready to test fly it:wiggle:

Not much to test fly right now; just a blank exterior model.

I do have a base coat of paint on her so Tom can get started on the flight model. Once we have something to fly, I'll get copies out to the team contributors. No mapping yet for textures, no VC, no panel.

...catching up here: a splendid oleo, I do love a well-finished bit of gear!

Me too, within reason. :)

I talked with a pilot of the Cal Fire S-2Ts and he said the flaps are pretty much silent.

Heres another video with great sound http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=dlK81JSL0f4

Cant wait love the detail!

Can someone with knowledge of these launch hookups tell me if there is any movement in this hook, or if they simply latch on and launch from it.

This under-belly hookup is forward about at the prop line.

Thanks
