SOH Team Project - Grumman Tracker, Trader, Tracer

fuselage left side lines going on nicely :salute: about 80% already on that side for initial placement, the real key will be in the weathering, and boy do i have some surprises in store on that front :icon_lol:

Just to show you how far an hours work can get you..... and still the underside, topside and right side to do before i even start getting lines elsewhere :icon_lol:

I do look forward to that weathering for the realism it adds. :)

some decals and base paint going on now, still gotta add some scratches/dinks to the paintwork.... but progressing nicely....

That's my boy...full steam ahead!

Weathering, weathering, weathering! No newly minted coins please!

This very fine aircraft deserves the thousands of hours she's going to get; let it appear 'in service'.

p.s. I've already put in for the ouzo...maybe we can get Milton to give it a try when we've all put in our final touches!

VC Piddlling

Well, if someone wants to do the VC panel and gauges, I will soon have a place for them to sit. Just getting the basics in place here.

A single cylinder of an Antonov An-2 engine, which is based on the R1820:

And a complete R1820; almost head-on but it was hard to shoot as it was tilted back:

Sadly both the Trackers are way out of reach for the crowds at the moment...

If the shaft hadn't been tilted slightly... It would have been very hard to tell. Still... a bitmap of that engine would probably look nice inside the cowling of the model.

Thanks Ferry; I'll see what I can do with it. :applause:

Still VC Piddling

Wow! Lots of progress just starting this today.

All the primary (left, center, right), console, and overhead panels are set and ready for mapping for gauges.

Yoke, pedals, and seats are in place with appropriate animations. :wiggle:
