Solomons ETO Updates for 2009

Hi Guys,

a few more, I have been editing weapon loadouts to reflect actual operational loadouts as used by the combatant force being represented. I have also been supplimenting pylon selections etc to utilise the best available models.

1. Spitfire MkVb John Kent 303 Squadron (Polish) RAF 1941.

2. Kittyhawk MkIII Garry M. Blumer 450 Squadron (RAAF) Italy 1943.

3. Hurricane Mk IIB Hurricane II with 1280 hp Merlin XX engine, aerobatic carb, strenghtened fuselage and 12 x .303 guns.
Flown by PO Dereck Leyland Stevenson 175 Hurribomber Sqd Warmwell 1942.

The Spitfire and Hurricane are painted by Bravo4, the Hurricane has a new VC model made by Pat Pattle. teh Kittyhawk is painted by myself using ed Wilson template and has had significant changes to the loadouts and plyons etc. the pylon changes alone have added greatly to the look of the plane when fully loaded up.

more to come,

regards Rob.

Here's the Corsair in action in Operation Tungsten.April 3,1944 the British launched a carrier strike on Tirpitz at Kaafjord.I'm using the g_cruiser for now.

Question???

When is the deadline for you guys to consider additional planes? Also, this may be off a bit, but which if any of my planes are being considered for use? :kilroy:

Hi Ted,

Deadline would be early Feb to mid feb. this will allow for testing before final build and release some time in March.

James is working up what he wants from your stable of planes and then I'll put them together in ETO format. (if I had my way all your stuff would be in there :applause: but alas I must watch space, so many planes)

most likely we will request permission for one of each type of your major plane sets.

Hows the Sunderland coming along? I will do what ever it takes to get it in the March update if you think you can get it done by febuary some time.

regards Rob.

Hi Guys,

A few more planes.

Reg's Hanger have been a fantastic support of the ETO allowing us to use the files which make up a large part of the ETO plane expansion.

Along with Gramps, Corado, Mathias (GroundCrew) Nachtpiloten, Ed Wilson, and many others. this really is a community based effort, all we've done with regards to planes is pull it all together and tweaked them to ETO format.

1. C-47 troop transport.

2. Sea Hurricane

3. Wildcat Atlantic paint scheme.

more to come,

regards Rob.

Looking great Capt.Winters can't wait to get my hands on them.I have plans for the Wildcat.

Thanks. I do not think the Sunderland will be ready.

Planes

How about some Fokkers, like the C11w and the T8 (320 sqn flew them for Coastal Command, Luftwaffe flew them as well)???

Ladies and gentlemen:

The following planes are being worked on by me and their release schedule is as follows:

Lancasters - 16 versions that include Tallboy and Grandslam versions, Bomber Command, and post war (awaiting new cockpit textures)
Dornier 217 J's and N's (minor cockpit refinements and complete retexturing)
Sunderland (external upgrades, new cockpits and gunstations, and texture mapping)
******
Gekko (complete cockpit and minor animations)
Diana (a bunch of stuff!)

***** = I will be developing a TOW gsl with Mongoose covering the Himmelbett and related radar installations.

So, unless a few folks jump in an learn how to model ......

Oh, yes there is a Hampden that is partially completed too!

Oh, What is the status of the P-61?

- I could use a hand doing the Do17E, if you just show me the way in animation land, I can do that one myself (I hope)

- Thicko is doing the Do17P and Do17M

- There's more or less an agreement with Mongoose TOW gsl on Dutch soil will be included in Dutch addon, Dutch team is working on the Dutch Nagdjagd airfields and could do the design of several Luftwaffe buildings and bunkers.....

- I could do some texturing, if the model is already mapped, no problem. Just hand over a template and some sources (written or pictures) and you'll have a Gruppe of standalones within no time

And I only have two hands......but I could use some feedback of and some lessons by an experienced designer for some conversion work. The models look fine to me, no need to change that much for an AI version, don't know about flyable.....so please drop by at the forum formely known as the Dutch forum (your account is still active) and we can work things out, I know for sure....

groet

Ton

Some really fine models and skins there, and I should have a new rig by then to enjoy them all! :jump: :ernae: and I think that gorgeous Hurricane is going to be a real highlight :ernae:
