With all due respect, shipmate, I know several P-3 / H-3 aviators and DD / CG blackshoes who knew how to sink a sub, as well. Always will be a cat and mouse game!

Sbob , thanks for your enhancements to the Razbam TA-4. I’ve always liked the A-4 and I have all 4 Razbam A-4 volumes installed. I’m going to start carrier ops with my military install of FS2004 and your information in this thread will be invaluable. I do have one question about the Razbam A-4 models…are the drop tanks removable or are they hard-coded into the model? Thanks again.
 
I guess you could re-paint the textures with 0,0,0 black and make them invisible? :unsure:
I haven't tried it with the Skyhawk but I used that trick on some Alphasim B-52 repaints and it was OK.
 
For the Record, I have absolutely nothing against Submariners; I wear a Military cap and carry a Challenge Coin repping our "State" Submarine,
SSN-788. Plus, the tome Submarine Cuisine is one of my favorite Books! :biggrin-new:

Regarding the Subject at hand, I fly Kaz Ito's Skyhawk; I'm not even sure if the RAZBAM A-4 is still available for sale.

The T-45 kit will be more conventional. Just swap out the sound folder and make some edits to the aircraft.cfg file. I'll include the complete panel.cfg and any gauges you might need. There are really nice IRIS T-45 repaints out there, so I think its easier to do a copy/paste job.

The best meal I ate underway was a "halfway night" dinner on the Bremerton. Steak, a baked tater, and at the end of the serving line was a bowl full of ice and small cartons of shelf stable FRESH MILK. 😁 Milk and fresh veggies are the first things to go when you get underway. This was back when Parmalat was still a new thing in the states. Our cooks had smuggled the milk aboard (allegedly at midnight) before we left.

Well, that's half the story. You would also have to use 0,0,0 black on the alpha layer of the same texture.
Let me play around with it. In most cases it works but the parts don't go completely invisible. Its more like watching Predator. You can kind-of tell that something's supposed to be there. :indecisiveness:
