Empty the float tanks (LeftAux and RightAux) in the fuel and payload manager and you will not be overweight. Just like the real aircraft you can carry passengers OR have fuel in the float tanks BUT NOT BOTH!
The float tanks were there for ferry flights only.
We could not set the float tank value to zero in the aircraft.cfg file otherwise you would not be able to add/subtract fuel in the fuel and payload manager, should you wish to.
If you never intend to use the float tanks you can either comment out the lines for 'LeftAux' and 'RightAux' in the [fuel] section of the aircraft.cfg file by adding two slashes to the start of each line (i.e. //) or change the 50.0 value in the 4th column to 0.0. Either way will prevent the float tanks from adding extra weight at launch and you should be good to go.
Regarding the center and external tanks, these are used as bilge tanks and our coding should automatically empty these tanks roughly 4-5 seconds after the aircraft loads. The delay was built into the logic system as a safeguard in case pilots switched to the Mallard from a previous aircraft that made use of these tanks. We wanted to be sure the tanks were truly empty so that the bilge code could make use of the space.
Alternatively you can edit the 'station_load' lines of the [WEIGHT_AND_BALANCE] section so that you never have passengers and then you can carry as much fuel as you like. To do this change the values in the 1st column of each line to 0.0 and you will have no passenger weight. Realistically you should leave 'station_load.0=' and 'station_load.1=' as they are (i.e. 175.0) as they are the pilot and co-pilot weights.
Either of the above methods will reduce your initial weight, the choice is yours.

Do you mean that dial on the cabin ceiling? It has no effect when on water. I have searched high and low I can find no such animal.
The dial on the cockpit ceiling is the rudder trim. The Mallard did not have a water rudder, however, we included a pseudo water rudder in the contact points section which is activated using the default water rudder command of 'CTRL + W'. We did this to help out those who do not have multiple throttles.

.... I thought it might be there, I have water rudder set to one of the buttons on my saitek throttle..but it was also still set to- ctrl w on the keyboard which negates it all together. Haven't flown a pontoon plane in a while so I never noticed there was a conflict on the buttons. Turns like a jet boat now, have to remember to lift the rudder before you take off or it could make for a hairy landing.

The instruments in our aircraft Kenny, are not stock original Grumman ones, so it would be different from the Grumman Goose in Default FSX. This aircraft represents an example flying today.

I don't like to complain, but the altimeter is off. Here's a image of the Goose altimeter next to the altimeter in the Mallard.....

Frankly, I do not see the discrepancy. Both gauges read the same.
I have tested this aircraft with the Goose in 4 different weather settings with different barometric pressures and the results are always the same. So, I am confused about what you are seeing that is different.

May be this can help to figure-out :
Green = Hundred of feet ( =500 )
Red = Thousand of feet (=1,5 )
Blue = Tens of thousand of feet ( =0,15 )
Reading ( on both ) =1500 ft

Indeed, as Firekitten has noted, they did fly radials and there are a few pictures available on the net of some of these schemes...(paint, paint, paint...)
I'm coming up on a finish of N3010.
First of all - this is excellent work and beautiful plane ! I really enjoy the VC and sounds !!!
I am among those, who don't like milky windows in cockpit and likes clear views outside for scenery admiration (yeah, I am PPL pilot and have to accept such "imperfect" glass anyway in Cessnas I am flying as a parellel hobby
and I have a kind request for help in replacing VC glass texture - yes, it was mentioned few posts before by Double J after Michal remark, to use glass texture from Navion, but I would appreciate some more details on which one dds exactly should be replaced. There are two dds (glass and glass_diff) in Mallard, while there is only one (glass_diff) in Navion - replacing this one gives no effect and maybe Your help will be faster, than experimenting with many textures by trial and error. Thanks a lot in advance !!! With kindest regards from frozen Poland !!!

From my experience with testing / flying this Mallard is that the altimeter works fine however the size of the needles for their particular function is different than most altimeters you see.. Other than that, should be fine..
If you look at his Navion, it's the same and that one works fine also.. Just got to get use to the different size needles and what their doing !!! LOL

I've finished N3010 with one tiny exception. I have covered almost every texture with pink in an effort to find the mooring hook on the nose and the hatch handle. I found the hatch hinges OK but I'm damned if I can winkle out the other bits. Just one little clue please?
