My first flight in the continental US was an Eastern 727 from JFK-TPA. I Miss those birds and National.would love to see one glinting in the summer sunshine!C
 
A new real one - it shows US Navy VC-118A 128425 of VR-1 Squadron based at NAS Patuxent River in 1963. It was one of six R6D-1 delivered from Ontario, CA 1961 und redesignated as VC-118B. Others were 128423, 128427, 128429, 128431, and 128433. 128425 was the only one wearing this red scheme on tail for a short period of time. Was used for stuff transport.

On this repaint i am currently working on. It shows DC-6B(F) N55CA of Conner F.A. with c/n 45328/825. Ex DC-6B CF-CZU of CP Air. This aircraft was based in Miami MIA until 1991. Airworthy until 1997. Ended in Opa Locka. Registration cancelled 2013-04-18.

Hi,

Start working on my second DC-6 repaint (all new because i did not have the DC-6 for P3D).
It will be the KLM PH-TGA, as flown in the "London-Christchurch Canterbury Centennial Air Race" in 1958.

Looking for some more detailed logo's which were on the aft fuselage.

What do you think is the best estimate of the colours? Myself thinking about brown/gold for colour?
