• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary? This one seems familiar but can't place it.

Edit: Will be scarce in these parts until after the 25th, so a Merry Christmas to all.:santahat:

OK folks, it's the Pintsch Schwalbe, (sounds like a bottle of beer) designed in :greece: for AEKKEA (sounds like a well-known :sweden: furniture retailer) by one Antonius Raab, who was of course :germany:, but built under licence in :austria: by Pintsch.

OH please, for someone not too weighed down by festive goodies to post something jolly - may I echo Moses' sentiments with best wishes to you all.....:applause::icon29::santahat::pop4::isadizzy:

By the way, if you chaps over there have gobbled up all the turkey by Thanksgiving, what are you having for Christmas ? A small ox ?

Here is something jolly (okay, I made that up).

For the record, my brother cooked up a slab of roast beef for the family Christmas dinner.:santahat:

Sorry for the delay - here's a rare version of a machine from a biggish manufacturer. A bit grainy, I'm afraid.

No, this one of three Fairchild 22-C7F supplied to Colombia in 1934.

Here's another machine far from home...

This is a SIAI S-52 of 1923 powered by a Hispano-Suiza HS42. Only two built.
Baragouin

PS Also known as Savoia-Marchetti SIAI S52

Concerning #7772 that's what AeroFiles state:
22C-7F 1933 (ATC 517) = 145hp Warner Super Scarab; span: 32'10" length: 22'0" load: 617# v: 138/118/48 range: 400+. $3,480; POP: 9 [NC9379, NC9383, NC13284], 1 to USN/NACA as XR2K-1 [9998] and 5 unregistered exports to Mexico.

The :icon29: is yours, Baragouin, but for an extra pastis, tell me where this one flew ?? (and it's not Mexico.......)
