The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

It`s US (with allegedly a French influence for which I am still searching for details). I already gave an earlier clue.

Hi all :salute:

This is the Moody-Siple Model A. Initially N73HS, but now N78RB. Still current in the FAA register and
apparently first flown in 1985. Still hoping to find info on the "French Connection"

For those interested, see airport-data site for more photos (google: airport-data N78RB) or see pilotsofamerica.com and use the search option (Moody-Siple Model A).

Good time for an Open House ?

Would have struggled without the hint, Keith. Like Moses I was hunting in the wrong area, in my case France !

Here's a curious skeleton...very easy, I think, but quite fascinating

At very first glance (not a very good glance today as I just had a capsulotomy on my right eye!) I would say a Farman 65 (or about that number) or a Lioré&Olivier 020.......
Cheers
BG

I just notice now it has 4 engines (with provision for two more): what about then the Caproni 90 P.B of 1929?

Yes, Caproni it is, BG. :icon29:

You really do seem to be in the wars these days - hope the op was successful !

Indeed, BG, floaters are my favourites.... :jump:

Only ever been in a floatplane once, but it was very exciting - over Lake Como, and the lovely exuberant Italian gentleman who was my pilot decided to loop the thing..as far as I know you are not supposed to do that...:isadizzy:

(my old friend Giampiero was having engine trouble in his Riva, as you can see, so one of his pals decided to keep me entertained !)

BG has gone Parnall on us. This time a Perch floater with the 2-bladed Rolls-Royce Falcon.

Mike- Nice period photo. Those Riva boats are real pieces of art!

Yes Moses of course it is a Parnall Perch.:icon29:
Your turn please
BG

PS I agree, the Riva boats are real masterpieces (nothing to do with the rubbish made in Taiwan!)

Not really... It was posted here before, but I found it in my archives only after searching the 'Net for thirty minutes or so.. Then, after posting the answer, I noticed the name of the model (AV8) is on the wheelpants!

Here's a new one:
