...add to the mix my P-40E paintkit... work in progress, still a lot of fixtures to add (Still working on fuselage, not touched wings yet), but apart from that she's looking slightly worn... and should be rady for Y'All by the weekend :salute:

Paintkit is DONE! Now I'm cleaning it up to package it and upload by this weekend. Don't know the final size but I may have split it into 2 or 3 files to keep the size down.

Here are a few pics. You may see some minior areas with out paint but I didn't need to paint those areas to get the pintkit done. It will be packaged in basic OD and Gray.

That's absolutely amazing, Duckie! :salute:
Especially the lead crust upon the rear exhaust stacks - I love to see those details.

btw: You've removed the model's specular shine on your own, didn't ya?

Great work!

Cheers,
Markus.

That's looking real fine Smoothie. I've been holding off further repaints pending your better detailed paint kit.

Thanks very much Markus. I used Ivan Hsu's model converter to deshine this one. I actually started experimenting with this app on a couple of the Mohawk repaints. You probably noticed it's not totally flat. I left a little shine to try and pick up just a bit of "glint" and definition.

Looks perfect for a "clean" paint, Duckie!

For those who want it dirrrrty :a1089: :
All tweaked model versions (P-40E, F, L, N) without any specularity are available at the SOH library now.

I always did perfer the "screaming skull" over the shark mouth on a P-40. Nice job Ducky!!!:salute::salute:
