Zsolt & Steve ... I offer my thanks for the continuing beautiful liveries that you 2 provide us with !!! Mike :)

I have completed the Iraqi scheme and will get it uploaded later today, I am also 90% done on the Libyan cammo.

Iraqi and Libyan schemes have both been uploaded, and here are some WIP shots of some further schemes i'm playing with.

The MiG in the West German layout is strictly prohibited.

"Hello, yeah we've located another SAM, we could take it out but i fear that'd spark something off" :icon_lol:

great looking paints so far guys:salute:

I notice that the West German variant appears to be a "captured" East German MiG. The 'diamond' shaped insignia has been removed or painted over to allow the traditional West German cross to be applied on the left wing. The right wing marking remains are clearly visible. Nothing wrong with that, I reckon.

Strictly prohibited, you say? Hmmmm....

Smoothie, I wouldn't worry about SAM Sites... Just remember it's like everything else, if they don't know what hit 'em then the only thing it sparks off is mass confusion.

Nothing as dramatic as that BB. When Germany was unified a good number of the ex-East German NVA aircraft were given Luftwaffe markings, some with a view to them serving with the unified force (the MiG-29 was the big survivor, but there were a number of transports and Hip & Hind choppers retained for a few years); and it was a good opportunity to evaluate these 'enemy' aircraft, so a number ended up with WTD61 at Manching (the German Boscombe Down/Edwards) - this particular MiG-21 was one of these.

WTD61 evaluated Fishbed, Flogger & Fitter aircraft; I do know that a couple of the Fitters later went to Boscombe, and one ended up with Hawker Hunter Aviation at Scampton - last time I looked on the HHA website they were still claiming that both the Fitter & their Buccaneer were an active part of the fleet.

After the unification there was also a camoflage Mig from JG1. It had also a sharkmouth. The Mig29 from Jg? "Heinrich Rau" has also flown in the same aniversary colours as in the GDR. Only with west german Markings... Also an aniversary Mig-23 from Peenemünde.

It must have been a hard time to the guys in east germany...

SteveB and others,

I added the fix to the original package and modified the description to notify future users. I try to avoid "fixes" in the library when at all possible.

And that is MUCH appreciated! Having to restore after some time (like I had to do this past weekend) can be a nightmare tracking down fixes and fixes of fixes. If every site would do what you do gor us Rami, life would be grand! Thank you!

I have completed the Algerian and the Soviet Red schemes and will be uploading them shortly, and I am 95% done on the Angolan.

Algerian, Angolan, Indian cammo schemes, and the Soviet Red scheme, have now been uploaded and will show once admin has done it's thing.

Very nice repaints again :applause: ... But I don't want to be a "smartass" :kilroy:. As far as I know the red russian Migs tail was painted in red only (like at my screenie). Found two drawings of this in the www as I did some research a few weeks ago.
