Since I didn't know where to put this, thought I'd put it in here as many folks frequent this section.

As the title suggests, what kind of vehicle do you own/drive? What are the pros and cons of the vehicle? Post pics if you like. I drive a Killed In Action Sephia (2000). Great car, burns little gas, just passed 104,000 miles as I use it to go to work around my area (Ocala, Gainesville, Lake City, Jacksonville and other areas). Bad habits includes really strong vibrations when it is shifted into drive, starts shaking going past 70mph:isadizzy: Overall, I like this car....sucks its not mine:kilroy: Plan on getting my own 2000 Sephia soon:woot:

Plus Sides: good gas mileage, automatic seat belts, forearm exercisers (manual widows)

Down Sides: rattles like a mofo, a/c emits a deafening squeal in cold/wet weather, definitely not a "chick magnet"

For a first car, it does me good though.

07 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition..i know,. gaz guzzler, but it moves the tribe around quite well, dog included and whatnot da wife decides to bring along..it got all the toys included (DVD, MP3, PS-2)which, obviously, i can´t enjoy since i´m the driver, but get everyone else amused leaving the great road ahead (yippie!!...what?..no irony smilie??) just for me and me only.....dang..now i´m missing being single and lonely...:173go1:

I own a 2003 Subaru Forester, and it's probably the greatest vehicle ever made.

With the back seats folded, I can fit an absurd amount of stuff into the Forester, and even with the seats up, there is still a ton of space to store things.

Despite being essentially a station wagon, the Forester is a blast to drive, and it gets decent fuel economy (21 city, about 28 highway) for something with the aerodynamics of a brick.

The most impressive part is probably the AWD system. Since it always provides a 50/50 power split, I've never managed to get it stuck, and it handles ice and snow better than a lot of larger SUV's with part-time AWD systems.
 
I currently drive a silver/black 2002 Buick Park Avenue.
Plus side:
  • comfortable,
  • smooth,
  • incredible mileage for its size (gets around 25mpg),
  • handles very well for a front wheel drive; does not drive like a stereotypical Buick,
  • great stock sound system.
  • seats six in a pinch (which is more than my wife's Grand Caravan; hers has a scooter lift taking up space for one of the back seats)
  • IIRC it is the last American car to be produced with a hood ornament.
Downside:
  • has that fake convertible top but I'm pretty sure I can live with that; makes it easier to find in a parking lot:wavey:

2007 Toyota Prius. All the known pluses apply. I usually a bit better than 50 MPG just commuting about 60 miles per day. I stay off the free-ways. The mileage is better and it only takes about 15 minutes longer (Don't tell anyone on the Dallas North Tollway - I'd rather they stay there). Biggest plus - I'm in and out of gas stations very quickly since I'm only putting 4 - 5 gallons in it on each fill-up.
 
Black 1997 Chevy C-1500 Cheyenne extended cab pickup with 140,000 miles on it. Even with it's 350 V8 (5.7 liter), it still manages to get 22 mpg on the highway just cruising along while hauling me, Mrs Willy, the three dogs and what ever we've got tossed in the back. Around town about 18. But it's most redeeming feature is that it's paid for, so I'm not making payments anymore.
 
2006 Subaru Impressa Out Back station wagon. Actually my wifes purchase as the family car. 30 mpg city/highway combined. Great car for living in the mountains and snow country. Also have a 4X4 1980 Chevy LUV.
 
A black 2003 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition. Love it! It is truely great having this car when going on roadtrips and camping. Seats the whole family and enough room left to pack stuff and then enough power to pull an additional trailer of stuff, haha.
 
2000 Ford Ranger 4x4 Supercab. 88k miles on it with no problems whatsoever.

Plusses:
It's paid off
Insurance is quite reasonable
I can take it plenty of fun places

Minuses:
I wouldn't mind better fuel economy, but it's 9 years old now and still gets 17-20mpg.

Best 'Square-rigger' MG of the litter (except for the K3!).
I owned a '54 TF1500 way back, way way back!
White, black wires, aero screens and the (very popular in my circle!) leaping Jaguar mounted on the radiator cap ....... looked much better there than on the Jaguar Mk.V it was 'liberated' from!
Wish I still owned it at times ...........................:173go1:
 
1997 Suzuki X-90
Milage varies from 24 to a max of 37. Most of the time on the highway it gets around 34 with the A/C on.
 
Until my wife was diagnosed with her brain tumor and we had to make some drastic financial decisions, I was driving a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT...mint condition, 64 thousand on the odometer, 8 thousand miles on the motor...would hit 140 mph with ease and looked good doing it.

Post voluntary repossession of the GT, I am driving a 1996 Chevy Corsica with a 2.2 liter 4 cylinder. It runs, ate totally rusted away and gets my wife to her many doctors appointments. It's ugly, slow and small.

I really miss my GT.

2008 Chevy Silverado extended cab with 5.3L.

The '08 replaced a 1999 Silverado extended cab with a 4.8L that had 166,000 miles on it when I gave it to my son (now has 176,000 miles on it).
 
This was my ride, 88 Range Rover. I gave it to my Nephew. (Needed some work. I figure it will be a fun project for him and a good first vehicle).

Presently without transport.

EDIT: O.T. Note; for you guys that live in lush green lands (like England) note that we people in the deserts of Arizona have to resort to rocks and pebbles for lawns... Palm Trees tend to grow here though on their own... sometimes..

The birthday present I bought myself in January 1986.
1986 Chevrolet El Camino. Will have it 23 years this month.
It only wears the camper shell when traveling.
 
I got me a 1989 Supercharged Buick Riviera, loaded. It's only got a lousy six cylinder in her but when that supercharger goes, it feels like a V-12.
So the mileage ain't so good but I got plenty of metal around me and my honey. I got 94,000 on her, - miles of smiles! She shines like a new car.
