WW I Ships

Have you tried landing on the Argus, Empress of India or the Furious in the Scapa Scenery? And i see i need to add your two HMS Furious to the list, i have em in the Alpha pack but forgot to put em on the list. Darn attention wandering...too much shore leave. :) thanks for that info about that plane working on them.

Nope, I can just about manage the Furious17 when she is steaming full ahead.:isadizzy: Ya have to remember there's no brakes on the aircraft, so you gently fall outta the sky and land just in front of the forward hatch and cross every member you have and pray you stop in time.

I have that problem when I mix my medication and grog.:icon29::pop4:

The Cuckoo has an arrestor hook which will work on the Furious18, you can then fold wings and raise hook, give it some power and taxi up the ramps to the forward flying off deck. Got some old screenies if'n ya wanna see 'em.

Aye Aye, ..would love to see the screenies. Ya, i had read about that technique glad it works, it must have been quite a feat back in that day... i can see why they used seaplanes that could land on the water and then be hoisted aboard. The USN was smart to try that flat deck design on the langley.

Tsing-Tao was a German City in China...They make a Good Quality BEER....and there is a beer with the Same name.

Today the name is Qindao. The beer is still fantastic. They use the same German methods and machines used at the 20th Century begining. Even Mao Zedong didn't dare to change it. Anoter fantastic Chinese liquor is the Moutai. I love it!

Cheers

That was a remarkable campaign that was waged over the great German port and colony at Tsing Tao. There was a sizable naval contingent of ships, they were sent home, but the rest of the people and troops stayed ..where would they go? and a long battle was fought with the Japanese army, with some naval engagemets with remaining units as well. It had been Germany's hope to have TsingTao be their Gibralter in the East and they bult to last, many beautful buildings, wide avenues in the European styel, really a european city. A forgotten part of the war and of history. Germany has quite a few colonies in the Pacific....and dreams of Empre.

Germany has some 4000 troops, the Japanese beseiged with 23,000 and the British sent a force of some 1500 to keep an eye on things. The seige lasted two months and eventually the city reverted to China in 1922.

Where can these be found?

I've been wanting to download them again after a catastrophic comp crash. I can't seem to download anything from Combat Flight Center at all. Been wanting to see if I can't find the elements to make a 'Rutland of Jutland' mission.

Thanks!
