• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Some shots from a recent flight that I liked. Flying the Warbirdsim P-51D, painted as Anglia Aircraft Restoration's Duxford-based TF-51D, around a wintery Cambridgeshire. (FSX DX10)

And some shots flying the (insanely stunning) Aerosoft Bronco around Encinal, Texas. I'm still just as impressed with this aircraft as the day it was originally released. Scenery is the whole "ORBX FTX Global/Vector/Base/Trees" enchilada with REX Texture Direct sky/clouds. (FSX DX10)

One last set for the weekend. A flight in Tim Conrad's fantastic Skyraider, marked as "Lt. America", a repaint done by the great Russel R. Smith. Screenshots taken of the aircraft flying out of the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge Airport where the real aircraft is based, with the Tennessee Museum of Aviation.

And a couple of Piglets! Shame the Navy versions seem to have missed out on repaints.

Well, today's your lucky day! :wiggle:

Actually, there's around 8 I believe on flightsim by the awesome Henry William. He misspelled the aircraft, though, so if you search for "skyrider", you'll find them. One is misidentified as a FS2004 paint - but it should work for FSX like the rest he did. So don't filter for FSX files - search the whole database so you'll pick it up. A half dozen or so are Vietnam era, the other couple are Korean War era.

VA-35 and VA-65 are my personal Vietnam era favourites of his paints.

Thank's for the HU Daniel!
Searched for same and downloaded the lot, even the French Colonial versions.
Way back when I was an IPMS member and into kit bashing the Styrene one of my favorite pastimes was cross breeding the Monogram and Matchbox Skyraiders.
One of the great debates among the 'Experts' was the published length of the SPAD fuselage and the scale length.
Of course, if one was thorough in checking the numbers the discrepancy was obvious, the 'Experts' figures were missing the length of the prop hub............Bloody Muppets!
:encouragement:
