• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Was able to install Ankor's shadeders in the install too, and made a big difference. What joy was it to at least be able to play it some so far ! Now just to not get getting shot down. A challenging sim !

I didn't make it in time for Christmas, or New Year's, but that doesn't mean some new toys aren't being boxed and wrapped for you guys. Still putting a few last finishing touches on. Sorry for the preponderance of Spitfire pics instead of greater aircraft variety, but it's my usual plane when I'm testing.

WOW! I've played CFS3 many moons ago, and that looks just brilliant. I guess I don't want to know how many hours you spent modding the sim. The terrain, lighting, clouds and shades look better than P3D (modded).

Hopefully quite soon. It is a pretty extensive overhaul of the CFS3 environment, and there are quite a few pieces to gather up into a package, which I am working on now. I am also hoping Andrey can help me solve a couple remaining issues in the mean time.

I still have my install disks for CFS3. If and when this is released, I'm going to reinstall it, just to be able to have this.

Graphically, Cliffs of Dover (Il-2 series) is vastly superior to CFS3, but this seems to be a game changer! And to me, the fun factor of CFS3 is vastly superior to that of CoD.

I agree on CoD vs CFS3. Never could enjoy Cliffs like I wanted to. I think it's the AI. I find CFS3's more believable. But I really appreciate the looks and detail in Cliffs. Through my various projects, I'm trying to bring all the things I like about different sims under one roof in the only sim mod-able enough to achieve it.

Actively working on making that possible! Last night I was making some revisions to the haze color used in some of the different weather files. Even a very slight change in the tint of the haze makes a huge difference in how real the scene feels. In fact, haze is probably the single most influential individual factor for overall appearance, since it is factored onto just about every surface you see to varying degrees.
