Flight Réplicas Douglas Dc-4 and B-24 free Released

Very nice :)
The DC-4 works in FS24 once the layout.json has been rebuilt but the B-24 still CTDs in FS24.
They haven't created a flight_model.cfg, just left everything in aircraft.cfg - might be the problem, but I'll stick to FS20 for now as the DC-4 has some blurry text in the cockpit, eg on the engine fire pull-handles.
The DC-4 also has very small fuel tanks - just 190 gallons, should be 1780 gallons - might be a mis-type?
I've edited the flight_model.cfg to fix, will investigate further tomorrow.

The North Star was a separate package for FSX/P3D.
The versions that got uploaded must be an older set of the files. Hopefully the latest copy can get integrated and solve the usability issues.

For the fuel tanks and other elements - zero effort was put into making the flight model, weights, fuel burn, etc. accurate other than a generic 'heavy' feel and roughly appropriate airspeeds. Flight models are the most obnoxious part to work on so a lot of it gets copied from plane to plane and tweaked. There is lots of room for improvement for anyone who is up to it :)

I tried to upload a few more paints, but either my computer or fs.2 thought it was enough for a day, so no luck, you'll have to make do with a few pics. Maybe tomorrow?

BTW, if you do like either the models or the paintwork, please post a screenshot?

I'm only seeing the D model Liberator in the aircraft selection list (FS 2020) and no DC 4's at all
Odd? Only the D's? It's all one package, maybe reinstall? Oh wait, have you looked within that D model? My guess is you'll find the J's there as well.
No DC-4? Did you drop the file in the zip directly in the community folder? The right file is actually within the zipped file, I had the same thing at first

I confirm, all B-24 liveries are listed under the D-model.

As for the DC-4, they are listed, the only thing wrong is that the First paint of the pack (in the pack itself) has no thumbnail.

J's did load (Loaded up Witchcraft and got a J) but no DC4's are showing and I have the folders right
Edit... The DC's are there. Thumbnail was blank.... DOH! :rolleyes:

The DC-4 is only taking fuel from the left main, which isn't ideal...
The following change to flight_model.cfg helps:
line 306
number_of_tank_selectors = 4 ; Max 4

lines 315, 316
default_fuel_tank_selector.3 = 20 ; RightMain
default_fuel_tank_selector.4 = 20 ; RightMain

The fuel gauges are calibrated to 505 and 433 gallons so to get a full fuel load:
LeftMain = 2, -8, -1, 505, 6.2
RightMain = 2, 8, -1, 505, 6.2
LeftAux = -2, -14.3, -0.4, 433, 1.5
RightAux = -2, 14.3, -0.4, 433, 1.5

I like the Flight Replicas B-24, which I never owned in P3D/FSX. I'm grateful for everything that's gone into it; both the original and the MSFS conversion. However, I feel a little sad, as the blurb accompanying the release at FS.To. says the following:

"As Flight Replicas will not be re-visiting these aircaft, we have given permission for the conversion to be made available for all."

More than anything, I was hoping that one day we'd see a native MSFS2024 Liberator, maybe with a Privateer too, but it is not to be.

A RAF coastal command D would bei lovely, too
