I don’t have any plans today. So, after telling you about my favorite airport, I’ll tell you a bit about my favorite plane.
The Tupolev Tu‑134.
1. It so happened that in reality, most of my flights (as a passenger, of course) were on this plane. From the 1970s to the 2000s. Not on purpose. It just happened.
2. As a child, I had a plastic model kit of this plane, and it was one of my favorites. And on the box that I glued to the wall of my childhood room, it was in the Interflug paint scheme.
3. I simply like this aircraft aesthetically.
4. And its magnificent model from SCS naturally didn’t leave me indifferent. It’s complex, realistic, and very beautifully made both inside and out.
Berlin‑Schonefeld (EDDB). Not the most beautiful old scenery from Aerosoft, but it’s the most similar to what was here in the 1980s.
Takeoff. Berlin is on the horizon. The purpose of the flight is Sochi, USSR (Russia)
A Finn raced past me over Poland, and then the default plains stretched out, where there was nothing to take screenshots from.
But you don't get bored inside this plane. There's no time. First you need to make it all work, and then make sure that it works as it should.
Since childhood, I’ve had a dream — to visit the navigator’s nose cabin during a flight. Alas, it only came true in virtual reality. But during the flight, you have to spend most of your time right here. But I’m not claustrophobic.
Well, if you have a free moment, you can take a walk around the cabin.
If there’s no Russian vodka on the plane, it’s not a Russian plane. ))))))))))))
The Black Sea and eastern Crimea. The weather is getting worse.
Approach.
Sochi (URSS) is directly ahead. Landing using ILS, but in the final stage you have to take matters into your own hands.

Glad you got around to accessing the Uiver DC-2.
In any case, and speaking generally, and perhaps only helpful if you have already purchased from Flight1 and have an account with Flight1: while new purchases are no longer feasible, re-installation of old purchases still is, per https://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=legacy
This means you can check the web archive pages of flight 1 for the pertinent wrapped installer, in this case, the Uiver DC-2 https://web.archive.org/web/20200108170605/http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=dc2flight1 and directly copy only the installer link to your browser http://files.100megabyte.com/uiver/dc2flight1.exe and thereafter run the Flight1 wrapped application installer, enter your credentials, unwrap and re-install.
It also helps if you keep records of your purchases, for should your flight1 account be inaccessible, you can always reach out directly to Flight1 customer service support; the Flight1 support staff are always happy to help

Thanks, that was exactly what the guys from Flight1 told me, after i contacted them. Because I had bought it years and heavens ago from Flight1. Allthough, after they changed website and provider, all my downloads literally departed into oblivion… and so i couldn’t find them anylonger. So i then contacted Flight1 about the issue and they gave me access to all my bought files again whereas the DC-2 was within. Therefore i could reinstall her yesterday once again. I also have the Qualitywings Aircraft (757 and Avro) running via Flight1 account currently.

Other Memories i do remember, was way back when Transavia still had the A310-304.
I then flew as a kid, totally alone from Zürich Kloten to Athens (LGAV). When i landed there, i then had to pick up another Flight from Athens to Heraklion. Where my Grand Parents picked me up.
Allthough that flight there had over 8 Hours delay. So i spent my time at the Airport. Since then i allways remember Transavia with the old (I think 90’s) green stripe livery… which allways was my favorite livery and still is… to be honest i never liked Transavia’s Transitions with their liveries towards the standart Lufthansa Eurowhite… i allways wished that they would've kept their 90’s livery… which was awesome… and kinda a special, cult Livery… (https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/9537323)

It reminds me of a librarian in my old uni library, you could ask her where to find an old obscure book and she could take you down to “the stacks”, the basement that housed books for the last 600 years, the shelves had long been filled, so there were stacks of books, and she was able to find the exact tome you were looking for. It could be spooky down there, you felt the ghosts of the long dead authors. Some years after I graduated the university built a new library to house the remarkable collection, more practical, but much less “atmosphere”.
Anyway, the visit to Crete prompted me to sort out my Greek sceneries and I re-discovered some freeware gems by GAP and HSP:

As an ex-bookseller it is a skill you acquire quickly. Any suggestions you may have heard, suggesting it is achieved through arcane rituals conducted at the dead of night and involving the burning of Jeffery Archer books are definitely untrue. Well, probably untrue.

We take Health and Safety very, very seriously. The procedure described should only be practised outdoors (and not in drought conditions).
Find ground you don’t mind getting scorched and from which the fire will not spread.
Paint a pentangle on the carefully selected spot and at the stroke of midnight set fire to the stack of books at it’s centre.
The composition of the stack is critical! It is well known that Jeffery Archer books will, if not disposed of properly, re-constitute and re-appear on hapless Librarians’ shelves.
The stack to be burned, must comprise of not only Jeffrey Archer books but Barbara Cartland catalyst romances. The composition is critically debated, some say one Cartland for every Archer, others up to three Cartlands for every Archer.
And I have just realised that this should not be debated in an open forum. It is knowledge far too dangerous for the general public.

I wish, Kos Airport would’ve ever gotten an Update in FS2004… since it is pretty big now as in reality… also seen on Google Maps. it definitely needs an upgrade… it has been expanded quite a lot.

Indeed the 2004 version is pretty dated… also no expansion there… same as the freeware basicly… so yah, i do hope somebody would do a new scenery (with all the expanded Parkings and Terminal complexes…) also i do hope it would be photoreal if possible… that would definitely be a needed Scenery.

I just found out that Kos Airport by Aerosoft is actually massively missplaced... which is a massive shame for a developer like Aerosoft… i mean who sells anything that is missplaced that massively? They did not even put it anywhere near the perimeter of the Airport but way off to the right... hahaha... WTF??? So anyone who actually bought their scenery should try to get their money back from aerosoft…
The freeware from HSP though is kinda placed in the right perimeter... even if still not a 100% perfect... i'd say its useable... i only miss some dynamic scenery addons like driving Airport / Apron vehicles, some Stairs and such... but yah... so what it is a freeware... better than nothing.
