FS2004 Screenshots Here!!!

Another freeware gem for Greece is Paphos or Pafos (LCPH) in Cyprus.
By Max Kraus.

We are dialling back to 2010 and it’s the last gasp of solvency for Athens Airways.
LCPH_2004-7.jpg

The straw is bailed, it must be late summer and the whole Athens Airways fleet has landed (two Embraer 145s and ond DHC dash 8-300):

Pafos is a joint military (north side of the 11/29 runway) civilian (south side) airport.
The military side holds an interesting if sad secret; as Max put it in the txt file:

Paphos is also the resting place of two Royal Air Force WW2 Avro Shackleton Aircraft, mainly serving in reconnaissance roles. WL747 and WL757 are AEW2 aircraft. Several attempts to get them flying again have failed and it looks like Paphos will be the final resting place of these former beauties. The two Shackletons can now be found at the north western end of the field.

Hallo rotorheads,
did some one ever knew that the Piasecki H21 / Vertol 43/ ever saw civil service?
I found a poor photo of a Vertol V44 operated by the french company "Courriers Normands-Transcar".
The company deserved a line Rouen - Le Havre - Deauville - Caen in the 50ies. In reality the used Vertol V43's.
The V44 distinguished from the H-21 by having big "swimmbodies" under the forward fuselage and on both sides at the position around the aft landing gear. At my knowledge the V44 is only avaible for FSX (if some one knows on usuable for FS2004, that would interest me a lot,LOL)
So I used the FS2004 Piasecki H-21C from Mich Posch for a repaint. Here the outcome:

That's a beautiful paint job! :ernaehrung004:

I have that model but it has a problem. It's over-scale and shows it when near other aircraft on the ramp and even small hangars and other buildings. When I use it as a static scenery object I reduce it in size to 82% to make it fit in with whatever else is nearby. I came up with that factor by comparing the dimensions with other planes of known length. I wish someone would make a right sized H-21 for us.

Hmmmmm... it just might get onto David's and my To Do list. It would fit right in with the early Cold War planes we've been making in recent years.

Michael, c'est super, j'en suis volontiers preneur. It could perfectly match with my CalClassic 58 version. There are textures for New York Airways and and San Francisco based Rick Helicopters. They also should work with the H-21C you mentioned above.

The Zone. I flew there today. I wanted to combine two of my favorite games. )))))))))

What else to fly over the Zone on if not on a Mi‑24?

cool shots from Pripyat. I didn’t knew that the City is built in the Addon that realisticly… looks pretty cool… if compared to STALKER…
And reminds me of all those lost place documentaries on youtube… due to the Chernobyl catastrophe in 1986…

I’m wondering if ARMA 3 has Tchernobyl and Pripyat too… would be very nice to have a comparison there as well…

@SkunsOfDonbass depicting scenes of the Ukraine war, you're treading on very thin ice indeed. Knock it off.
Just to be sure:

Are we allowed to show pictures of WWII and WWI Aircraft with the Nazi Zwazdika on their Liveries here, or will that be thin Ice as well?
I mean: i usually don’t and take care of not doing so nor to show anything war related or Nazi Time related… but I’ve seen others doing exactly that… so not sure…(I mean: since the library here - and even the CFS3 stuff has and provides lots of that stuff too, you can even go picky about that, if you want to).

Just my five cents about that topic.

Nono, Historically correct images of aircraft are no problem.

Forum rules in a nutshell: no piracy, no porn, no religion, no politics, respect for members and members of staff. Easy really.

It's been ages since I've flown in the sim myself since I became an admin here, but peruse the MSFS2020 screenshot thread, you'll find a lot of screenshots that I posted with swastika aircraft. And I'm definitely no nazi.

Bonjour Bernard,
