Ce serait vraiment très sympa si je pouvais utiliser tes textures et faire un traffic AI entre Caen et Le Havre. Dans le web on trouve pas mal de cites qui évoquent la liason par les Courriers Normands. Notamment ce YouTube intéressant de l'INA:

D'ailleurs à la même époque Sabena avait affrêté des Vertol 44 durant l'Expo à Bruxelles. L'un était sans "flotteurs". Peut-être tu pourrais esssayer ä le rajouter, une fois .... ¨¨

I am still hopping around the Greek islands and just landed on Chios (LGHI). The representation of the airport and surrounding area is another freeware gem from GAP. The aircraft I was using was a payware DHC Dash 8 Q100 by virtualcol:

“De Havilland Dash 8 Q100, model, gauges, textures and flight dynamics by Virtualcol FS Software team. More info in: http:;products.virtualcol.com”

I then remembered I also had a freeware Dash 8 Q100 by Dreamwings:

“This is a De Havilland Canada Dash8 Q100 model by DREAMWINGS repainted in the Olympic Airlines colours by John Orfanos (johnorfanos@hotmail.com). Its Registration Number is SX-BIO and is named "Katerina Thanou" after the greek female sprinter (100m) and olympic gold medalist. During ATHENS 2004 olympic games the particular aircraft was repainted in Olympic Airlines ATHENS 2004 colour scheme as well as the "Kostas Kenteris". It is mainly used in Short-range distances and inter-island connections.”

It makes for an interesting comparison, the virtualcol (payware, but not very much) has more animations but in my opinion the Dreamwings is the better model, it just captures the shape of the original better. I only purchased the VC payware because it came with some liveries not available for the Dreamwings model.

By nature I will always go for the freeware model (not just because, as my wife puts it: ”moths are the only thing to come out of your wallet”) but because I like the freeware ethos, making great things for the love of it and sharing them freely with others that will enjoy them.

Voilà les texture du H-21-C le "deguisant en un V43 des COURRIERS NORMANDS-TRANSCAR. Ca devrait bien fonctionner avec le ai_helo_Piasecki H21 de cal classic. Cette texture fera partie des textures de mon projet de conversion du Piasecki H-21C. On doit encore bosser sur les dynaiques de vol qui ne sont pas encore au point comme on vut LOl. Par contre toi tu peux les utiliser sans problemes pour refaire vivre cette fameuse ligne qui hélas n' a pas durée longtemps

Kinda… (if one has a payware, one most definitely uses it - because why not?, If one doesn’t have the payware or simply preferes the Freeware, one most definitely will use the freewares - Because why not? - Simple as that) Nothing to complain on that though…

Personally I go for most modern Era with my Flightsim (eventually mixing it up with old stuff). And that also includes Payware… because the better kills the good.. - But i’m also totally fine with others who want to use way gone Eras of Time in their Flightsim's…- which then most definitely includes Freewares…

If I do remember it right, you’ve once opened another Thread for Vintage and Old (and Freeware?) Images to share? But that seems to have died down quickly because people are convenient to share their images in here (whatever era their Images or Aircraft or Sceneries or Flights belong to or represent) - Think we’ve allready discussed that once though…

Now let’s leave the Pictures to do the talking… (as that would be the purpose of this thread).

Bonjour Michael,
Éffectivement c'est la surenchère, on connait cela d'autres et d'anciens cites. Puisque ton sujet n'interesse apparemment pas grand monde, je continue en français. C'est très gentil d'avoir mis les textures à ma dispostion. J'ai déjà commencé à ajouter au pif les plages pout l'atterissage de l'hélico. La présentation que j'ai en vue, ce sera pour CalClassic, car là-bas ça commence à s'endormir serieusement.

Ton point de vue sur l'évolution de la société est tout à fait pertinant. L'agressivité prend de plus en plus place dans notre quotidien. Bon, vu que l'humanité a été dotée dès le départ de méchanceté, surnoiserie, égoisme et j'en passe, c'est n'est pas surprenant. Comment veux-tu alors que le monde soit paisible sous de telles conditions?

with a freeware livery.
The alps mesh is from France VFR and the altiports scenery from LLH.
