Sorry. Not unless there's a miracle out there... waiting to fall on me... from heaven above...

colin, any chance of a RAAF paint in the group?

and if not , will there be a paintkit for it?

We're only doing two liveries at this time. One for the J and one for L. A paint kit will be supplied at the same time as the model goes on sale. Any repainters that want to get in on the ground floor (pun intended) can contact me either through PM or via email at colin@milviz.com.

I just popped in here to see how this was coming along and I see some harsh criticism over something that can be adjusted in the skins. Giving the flight simmer a really good 3D model, cockpit, and flight dynamics is very important. With a paint kit we can easily paint and adjust alpha channels to our heart's content. I'm not an expert in the P-38, and thankfully David is and he is on-board with this project, but it looks good to me.

You gotta love chamfered edges! Very nice looking model! Can you put my name on it so I don't fall into depression Kolin? Or you can teach me efficient SubD modeling if you like!:icon_lol:

Just a suggestion, maybe lowering a bit the gaussian blur on the skin would remove that "fake" look when closing up. Oh and check the smoothing groups on the tail radiators!

Keep it up!!:ernae:

The Aluminum texture reminds me more of Galvanized steel then aluminum... Maybe want to tone that down a little.

(Ducks Colins eminent incoming attack) Time to run! :running:

Ah, is it Al-U-Mini-Um? , where as the original was Al-Liu-Min-Num? Perhaps that is the problem!

Cheers: T.

I was just ribbing my frined Colin a bit, he hiding out in a certain colony "North of the border". At least they drive on the right side of the road.....

Cheers: T.
