This package contains alternative textures for the Manfred Jahn's C-47. The textures show a Dougles C-47B as flown by the Russian operator Aeroflot after WWII.
Next to the Lisunov Li-2, which was build under licence in Russia, the Russians received also several Douglas C-47 aircraft. After the war's end, many C-47s remained in civil service with the Aeroflot, with codes CCCP-L10xx.
These codes were reported in white on the fuselage sides and on the wing uppersurfaces, and in black on the wing undersurfaces. The emblem included a wide logo of Aeroflot over the row of windows, and a small emblem with white wings, and hammer and sickle on the nose. The U.S. serials, always preserved during the war, were now deleted.
The tail, originally carried the Russian flag on boith sides, but these seem to have disappeared after the aircraft was repainted several times.
