  • Special Server Maintenance

    Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

    You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

    If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

    To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

well now RIAT is over, PC-21 work complete for IRIS it's time for me to plough full-time into the Harpoon... here we go! :jump:
 
oooooh! now with some good texturing and texture baking (which i can do for you Milton, like i did in the Avia interior) that'll be a gorgeous place to be! :jump:

one last image before i hit the sack......
'production'/'Base' layers are getting closer to completion now, kinda pleased so far in the way it's turning out.... part i'm working on is the engine cowl and nacelle in the foreground, hence the 'grey' colour, hope to have the initial work done by this evening (July 12th)....​

1.5hrs till my lunchtime goal for airframe basics to be done, i'm on time and on target.... here's the latest.... a bit closer up than normal.... time for a crafty cigarette by the fuel sheds and a quick cuppa' then back to work!

aaaaand 1627GMT, and we're onto the drop tanks with a PTO style all over Sea Blue Scheme with Navy Cream nosecone... starting to slot all into place thanks to the way i've been working, coupled with Miltons exceptional mapping :salute:
 
one last image for tonight as it's now nearly 1am.... getting closer to sim testing now.... just gotta detail up the drop tanks, add tonal differences etc.... :salute:
 
That's looking great Matt. Do you have the necessary templates for the rockets, turrets, and guns?

Also, the htail fillet is on the tails_t.bmp, center-top.

I LOOOOVE your work. Thank you for keeping these fantastic aircraft freeware. I can't get over how FAST! you produce such detailed and complicated aircraft. I like to build models but all they do is sit there. I realy wish I could do what you and the crew here can do.

Hats off to ya man! Incredible work! And again, How the heck do ya do it so fast? I started repainting about 3 months ago (My first
repaint was the "Spartan Executive" as a matter of fact) I hope it's ok Milton. Yeah! I am SOOO SLOOOW, I hope I get faster some
day. It's fun!
Man, I can not WAIT to do a cross country in this beautiful bird :applause:
