Aeroplane Heaven C-47/DC-3 is out!

Why is that funny extension underneath the fuselage? It is ugly, like the scrotum of a sheep. Never saw it on any picture, nor originals, not of actual still flying C-47's.
Please make a hotfix to remove it.

LOL...I agree. I’m not a fan of all these “rare” additions that they put it. The exhaust on the c 47, the cylinder covers on the dc3...that should have been an option..and hopefully will be with the sp. there’s a reason most dc3s don’t have them anymore.

aeroplane heaven, how can I disable all the vibrating controls in the cockpit when the engines are running. This seems to be a major VAS hit for me on my system, not to mention I don’t really care for it. maybe can be addressed in the Service pack?

Oh no, this is very nice feature! Take P3Dv5, on DX12 consumption will be smaller perhaps with better GPU/CPU optimalization. Personally I didnt notice performance problem of this feature.

surfguru, please contact Aeroplane Heaven directly for support. SOH is not the place to find direct support for any aircraft. You will find the answers for most all your questions by contacting the aircraft producer. Our forum is glad to help with most any problem folks have but changes or major problems are best handled directly.

ADF test flight.

Hi,
I already thought it would be something like that. And I can think of having it underneath a leadplane like That's all Brother, but why do SNAFU and HoneyBun3 that have also? How can I remove that from the other ones and I also hope that upcoming add-on paint will not have it either.
Piet

Stovall is correct, please contact our help desk if it is a genuine support issue. I can, however, answer this one here.

You can select either the "cargo"or the "clean" versions with the same liveries to have the C-47s without the radome.

I will say this:

Our tribute to the men and machines of D-Day stands. We set out to portray "That's all Brother" as she was on the day she led the armada across the channel. We spent many hours researching the subject, talking with people who specialise in the subject and gathering as much detailed info as we could. We outlined our intentions clearly in pre-ambles and previews well before release. We think we have TAB looking as she did on that day, warts, radome and exhaust flame dampeners and all. That was the objective.:engel016:

Bazz, Today P3Dv5 will be released, any official statement about this from AH side? I dont know did You have access for beta version for developpers.
I'll take it but Im waiting for update of Chaseplane and ORBX Vector, Global (for more i can wait). I will copy files manually (DC-3/C-47 for P3Dv4.5 probably works without a problem) but will be nice to recive installator for v5 with SP also. :wavey:

Bazzar,
Indeed, the problem is solved by changing the model-file from Skytrain into MilCargo.
As simple as that. Thanks a lot.

I checked Today does it work with P3Dv4.5 with HT3 (installed Today) - yes, as it was in HT2 version.

Oh no, this is very nice feature! Take P3Dv5, on DX12 consumption will be smaller perhaps with better GPU/CPU optimalization. Personally I didnt notice performance problem of this feature.

The problem is not the vibrating stuff, but huge amount ad size of texrures.
Look in the "texture" folder and You will see 2.6 GB of textures and atleast 50 textyres at 4096x4096 weighting 16MB each + additional smaller textures.

P3D V5 seems to be very GPU memory hungry and that is where these textures are loaded.

I don´t have P3D V5, but in P3D V4.5 HF3 I get only 9 FPS on the apporach to Fly Tampas Copenhagen V2, where I have around 18-20 in the PMDG 737 NGXu.
Thats for me a clear indication that the AH DC-3 overloads my GPU with textures and thus have to start using system RAM, which are much slower.

I keep hoping there will be more videos about this release on YT. Does anyone know of any (I have seen Chock's, thanks mate!). Also, do we have any update on the update (SP/HF)?

Also, do we have any update on the update (SP/HF)?

SP not yet released, don't rush ;>, I prefer to recive good model but its a good question.

Bazz,
can You share your informations about SP? What will be included and what is planned to change it? :wavey:
