Beyond the Western Desert

Looking really great. Looks like you solved the phantom islands problem around sloped shorelines.

not a great solution, I have to buffer out the coastline more than I would like

Great approach to harbors and such. It will be visible for great distances instead of popping into view suddenly. And it still doesn't prevent someone from building actual dock models on top of them to provide detail at closer distances.

TBH, I just wanted some kinda port in case they didnt get made as proper facilities

Contact points?

No, the carrier is embedded in an invisible hill. Sometimes it looks good but its more than annoying running into a hill you cant see :gameoff: Shadows can be a bit odd too.

So the carrier needs to be present at all times to avoid these issues? It's a very interesting idea, and gets rid of so many of the existing issues.

Also, very curious how this works. Have you put an airfield facility in the gsl? Does the invisible hill have to be the same size and shape as the carrier deck, or is only a tiny point at the right elevation sufficient and the runway object takes care of the size and shape?
